Friend Michael serour was telling us last Shabbat about Yaakiv avinu: Yaakov was the first man to become sick before he died. Until Yaakov’s time people would be well and then, when the time came for them to die, they would suddenly die. At the end of his life a person would sneeze once and with that sneeze his soul would leave his body. Yaakov
prayed to Hashem, “if a person dies suddenly, he has no time to bless his children and give them instructions. Please, hashem, give me a warning before die, so i can take care of my household.”. Hashem accepted Yaakov’s prayer. When Yaakov became sick he knew it is time to bless his sons and give them his last instructions.Enjoy your life before you get sick.
