I just visited the Pei Wei located in Orlando, FL .

I've dined at other Pei Wei's before, so knew to expect a middle of the road experience. However, this time it was sub par.

Went for dinner and although the dining room was less than halfway full, the place was dirty, smelled funky and the iced tea was empty. On a bright note, I mentioned the tea to someone running by and it was refilled almost instantaneously...

I ordered the Spicy Korean with shrimp. Dish had no spice to it at all and the veggies were mostly onion & carrot. It was odd. I spiced it up with the Siracha sauce from the condiment bar, so it was edible. The white rice that it came with was dry. It was either old, or hadn't been cooked with enough water.

Husband ordered Pad Thai. It was spicy with none of the sweetness usually associated with that dish. Also a bit dry; more sauce would have been nice.

Small one ordered the Chicken Lo Mein from the Kid's Wei menu. It was oddly sweet and lacked any of the character that Lo Mein usually gets from oyster sauce. It's nice that it comes without veggies automatically (well, nice for those who won't eat them!).

My biggest ick factor for the night? Dirty dishes. Dirty drinking glasses, 2 sets of them in fact. Instead of going and trying for a third time and hoping they'd be clean, we just got take out cups. The plates on the table, meant for sharing, were dirty. 3 out of 5 of them were flecked with... (eww, don't want to think about it).

Next time we'll pass on this particular Pei Wei....

Bet they don't do much business.  I hope you have better meals other places.  Orlando must have thousands of restaurants. I live in Lakeland and it's still difficult to find a good one.  Carry out seems to work better for me, because  you can't see some of the yucky stuff.

Went once here in Fort Lauderdale where they recently opened--won't go again--aside from everything else I want to be waited on and then for their prices I can go to a Chinese restaurant that has linens and servers.
