Dry West Texas
I spent 10 years working in the West Texas oil fields when I was young. West Texas is DRY!!
There are shrubs out there that are about three feet tall, but have roots about 40 feet long to reach a little moisture. Those "shrubs" are actually oaks with regular size acorns on them.
There is a rumor out there that when Noah got his flood, Odessa, Texas got 1/2 of an inch of rain!
