The mission of REDTRAC is to develop and deliver training courses to meet the needs of law enforcement, and drug, border and financial control entities across the English-speaking Caribbean. TheCaribbean Regional Drug Law Enforcement Training Centre (REDTRAC) today (April 10) launched an interactive and informative website, which provides information on the entitys projects and various training programmes. The website, which can be accessed at www.redtracgov.edu.jm will go live at midnight. Recognised and endorsed internationally, and delivered by accredited instructors, courses cover a wide range of vital maritime subjects, such as: Musaffah Channel Familiarisation Course, IMO Model Course 1.27 for ECDIS, IMO Model Course 1.07 for Radar/ARPA Operational Level, and the mandatory course for seafarers Human Element, Leadership and Management Course (HELM), mandated by the Manila amendment to First Aid Training STCW. Currently students from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India, Iraq and the UAE all receive training from Abu Dhabi Ports Maritime Training Centre.
