When hearing of the invasion on Tibet and the arrests of its people by the Chinese army, I cannot help but be rivoted back to the realities of our world. There is so much inherent violence that strikes daily. I cannot fathom why a government, why a nation, why a people, would want to control others or to harm them in any way. Now I know that it is in the nature of man to have violent tendencies. Being human and mortal sort of precludes this state of our nature. However, being given access to a higher spiritual body gives us the ability to reach beyond the mortal and gain control over it. I feel that the key to peace on earth, lies first with mankind/womankind learning to gain control over ones self. If a body and spirit is engaged in self control, how would one have time to seek control over another. After all, that alone would be an everlasting endeavor.
