Reflections On Life

About Me

 

Hello To all of you...old and new friends alike.  I thought I would tell you a little about myself.  I have been a member of Blogster since March of 05.

I am the mother of two beautiful daughters and the grandmother of three of the cutest, smartest grandchildren any one could hope to have.  I write about them often, referring to them as Grandson, Big Sissy, and Little Buddy.

I have been a teacher, a newspaper advertising representative, an insurance salesman, and a family service counselor in my lifetime.  I am now retired.  But I am always the consummate searcher--studying and learning new things everyday.  I am especially fascinated by ancient civilizations--their belief structures, their art, and their governments.

I read constantly, whether it be the Bible, a book, or something on the Internet.  I have a deep religious conviction, which has been strenghthened by some serious setbacks in my life.  However, I give the Lord all the credit for walking with me through those tough hours, days, months, and years-- even carrying me part of the way when I was too broken in body or spirit to walk alone.

Thanks to His help, I have emerged a strong, positive person tackling some old problems from the past, determined to correct the wrongs that were done.

I was reared on a farm in western Oklahoma, but have been a "city" girl all my adult life.  I have a deep, abiding love for my home state and the football team which represents it--The Oklahoma Sooners.

I also love the outdoors, especially keeping my yard immaculate and growing lots of flowers.
