Wow, what do you write about in a biography?  Well, I am 38 years old and I have moved countries from the UK to Sydney, Australia about 4 years ago.  During the past 4 years, I have had tons of challenges and stress and I am feeling a bit like my sparkle has left me (hence the black and white photograph of a diamond).  Every step of my journey in this past 4 years has been one step forward and two steps back.  I can see the lessons in life that I have gained from these experiences, but I still am feeling like my sparkle has dulled a little.

So, the reason for my writing a blog is to try to regain some of my sparkle.  Now, when I say sparkle, I am not just talking about the physical things i.e. losing weight, looking after myself and changing my clothes/my home; but I am talking about the ability to laugh like a mad person at a stupid joke, to be able to feel instantly at ease with people, for people to be inspired by me and for me to relish at the beauty of the natural world I live in.  This is compared to the daily struggle that I have experienced during the recent years.  I guess I want to chill into life, enjoy it and feel at ease.

Before, anybody mentions it, no, I am not depressed.  I still have lots of things that I enjoy doing - but I guess that I want to change my goals from settling into a new country and establishing myself in my new country - to the new goal of getting my sparkle back.  I will be mentioning some of the stresses that moving country has brought, I am sure.

I am really looking forward to this blog.  I am hoping it will be fun to follow, and sometimes, I am sure, it will be hard as well.  So here goes....
