Lines

Lines
Torn between whether B&W or color is better, but I settled on B&W. I liked the lines on this one, reminded me of a musical instrument. This was part of Rogers Place, a stadium in Vancouver.

This is a clearer shot of the locomotive.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered Martin's night job.

And His Day Job

And His Day Job
When I saw the sign on this sandwhich shop, I knew Martin had to be working here.....

I liked the leaf designs in this sidewalk, made for a nice picture.

The pole dancer, just too funny {#basic-wink.gif}  I like the picture of the train.

RA - That pole dancer grabbed my eye, it was great.

Lovely, the leaf one is my fave

Write - thanks.  I have never seen this done on concrete before.  Really a neat idea.

Love the train one great pic Skinny!

Thanks Scratch.

Nice leaves in the sidewalk :-)

Brad - Thanks.  It was simple yet artistic.

The old geezer pole dancer is a hoot....but the Train is just too cool, skinny.

MM - Just trying to do my best to bring you the latest in adult entertainment and transportation options.

and you've succeeded beyond expectations per usual skinny.

Loved the trains, way kool. Poor martin, wonder if he's making any money moon lightening? Gets pics! Love the humor{#basic-laugh.gif}

It's not by 'moon lighting' I make the money--didn't you see the couger to my right???  LOL

Okie - Glad you liked the trains.  Boats in the forecast in about 2 weeks I think.

Yipee! Boats! thanks skinny:)

LOL yes and from "Hooters"  WhooHoo! Yeah for cougars {#basic-kiss.gif}

You're really getting some great shots. Love all the patterns in each shot. And the funny ones too.

Ana - Beauty and a smile.  Just what you've been telling us to do in your blog.

Appreciate that you get something from my blog and expand on the ideas and share. Keep on keeping on, this is inspirational and I really enjoy the pictures. Thank you again.

LOL. The pole dancer is hilarious Skinny!  The leaf design is neat too. Thanks!

FL - Glad you liked it.  Now don't just stand there, start waving that dollar bill!

Here ya go Skinny. ..

Roger's place? Is taht Rogers & Hammerstein???  "A blast from the past"?? I didn't see my picture there!!!

Actually if you knew the blogger fredo you would know that is him--I guess the red 'hammock' fooled you!

What do you mean I work there--I OWN those BUNS!

GM - A blast from the past would involve you and a dinner of baked beans.

As far as the ownership of the shop, it was a simple mistake.  They kept telling me "Martin's,  Martin's,...Work it baby,....work it baby..."   So I assumed you worked there.

Actually my 'working' name is Great!

how on earth did you manage to unearth Martin's secret?...lol. Pole dancing!!!!!?????.....lol..

Love these pics...

Wind - Well, as you know, nothing stays secret nowadays on the internet.  That bit about him having no car, spending his days at restaurants fully clothed.......That's all an image.  Come nightfall, the clothes come off, the hips start to grind, and the Dollar King comes to life.......

{#apploud.gif}{#apploud.gif}

Maria, some people just can't keep a secret like you can--he's a blabber mouth!

{#apploud.gif}{#apploud.gif}{#apploud.gif}

BFD - Thanks, glad you liked.

I love the CPR reflections above skinny, really good.

Fangio - thanks.  Leave it to an Englishman to fully appreciate trains, right?

MAybe, but it was the reflections - honest!!

Am I the only one who loved the leaf designs....I guess that's the nature bug in me :-)  LOL @ Martin & pole dancing...I bet he's a wonderful dancer - pole or not!

Oh I could say something to that comment but I WILL behave myself it being Father's Day and all.

Cats - Actually there were 3 or 4 others that really liked the leaf shot.     As for Martin, I believe he would prefer to dance with his pole rather than without it......lol...

GM - Well, one of us should behave. ..... I do admit you're showing remarkable restraint these days.....

ILC, more loved the pole shot--some bloggers have class!!!!

GM - I agree that some bloggers have class.  But ya know, I like you too....{#rofl.gif}

Skinny I always behave!!!! My BIGGEST problem is too many want my pole to swing on but taht's a blog down the road!

3rd class or first class--as long as you have class OR as the song in "Chicago" sez "Whatever Happened To Class?"

@martin - i noticed you skipped by the pole in your apartment when you did the video about it...ooopsss..was i supposed to keep that quiet???

Oh no--it was at the Club waiting for me--people like to feel my pole and--ooops! I better stop here or skinny might get a pole himseld.

LOL....it's gettin a little HOT in here!!

And I haven't started on my pole!{#basic-blush.gif} {#basic-blush.gif}

Enjoyed the photos, skinny. We have an old steam locomotive in our town that is simular to one in your photos. It's displayed outside in a park and kids play on it. The city repaints it every 5 years or so, but it's not in nearly as good of shape as this one.

MS - This one is inside, and I bet polished and cleaned regularly.  Makes a huge difference.

Very nice.

Thanks Margar3t.

Can't stop laughing esp @ the comments and your captions. Looks like

LOCO-motives are the photography topic of the month here so better get my caboose out railing around the tracks looking for neat wheels & something that's blowing!

Uh oh.  If you're laughing too much, we'll have to give you that white jacket with the arms that tie in back........Which might be appropriate if you've gone LOCO-motive........If your caboose is blowing, it's probably just something you ate for lunch......{#basic-smile.gif}

{#rofl.gif}{#rofl.gif}{#rofl.gif}{#rofl.gif}{#rofl.gif} Five star little blue guy LOL . I'll take credit for setting you up for that reply even tho that was not my intent.

BTW: I haven't seen any leaf motif stamping around here but concrete stamping of different designs on patios is becoming popular. Who would ever think that Central Pa was a trend setter in anything?

I'm waiting for the concrete stamp of the worker buried in the concrete.....

Ugh! Yikes! You really didn't type that did you? Blame that on Bush, why doncha ya?

I was thinking more of a Mario Brothers outline in the concrete.  Not so much an actual worker buried in there......I guess a poor choice of words.

You were thinking Mario Bros & I was envisioning Jimmy Hoffa but my mind seems to be in a very deep place these days.

I'll be in Boston this summer & will attempt to take some Skinny Type pictures instead of my usual dogs, birds, and flowers.

Make sure you visit the Boston Commons, it's beautiful.   I still have a bunch of Boston pics that I haven't posted.  Maybe I'll get some of those up on the blog this summer.
