Take a Number

Take a Number
Some days, I feel like this....

Lil Red Corvette?

Lil Red Corvette?
I thought I'd get a hot red sports car to recapture my youth. I think the salesman pulled a fast one on me.....

What to be today

What to be today
Hmmm, to be angelic and nice, or to be naughty?

Nata What?

Nata What?
When I first saw this, my thought was "What the hell does that mean?"..... Turns out a Natatorium is an indoor swimming pool.

Jumping through the hoops

Jumping through the hoops
Sometimes, even if you're dead tired and crawling along, you still hafta jump through some hoops in life.....

Watch Out!

Watch Out!
Never know what you'll find hanging around in the back alleys of San Francisco.....

Reflections

Reflections
Took this macro shot in the mens room at work. Nice reflections, although I was a little bit nervous about someone coming in and seeing me in the mens room with a camera......."Honest, officer, I was taking pictures of the sink......"

LOL, I see that no one has taken a number in the complaint department yet! YIKES! {#basic-ohsnap.gif}

Great photos, skinny.

MS - thanks.  Apparently the complaint line was waiting for you.

You won't catch me taking a number there!

You have a clean men's room at least!  The Natatorium would have confused me too! Never heard of it.    How do you manage to find so many unusual things to photograph?  I suppose being in SF helps.

Kat - There are a lot of interesting things here, and I am definitely drawn to things that are a bit odd....(like all those blogster people....{#basic-smile.gif} ...)   I think that if you keep your eyes open and look around, you can often find interesting things that you otherwise would have missed.

skinny.........WOW....what an eye for capturing interesting photos....and the captions....very creative......LIKES-A-LOT !!

NATATORUM..........really?  LOL, sort of like saying haberdasher instead of men's wear.....

WOW......a clean employees restroom.....guess you don't work in a restaurant...LOL

Old Fordson tractor ??

Dear Ms. Likes a Lot - Thank you for the glowing review.  In light of your restaurant restroom concerns, we have decided to send in our tractor to clean the restroom prior to your use, the next time you visit your favorite restaurant.  Just mark the handy coupon "sweeping", "tilling", or "road grading" and send it in to our Tractor Headquarters.

Awww thanks for your efforts......but I don't use public restrooms.... {#basic-smile.gif}

I love reflection pictures..especially of lakes reflecting whats around them. Your reflection photo was awesome.

You find the most interesting things around SF....I must admit. What are the hoops for?

The angels remind me of some of the old cemetaries I often walk around in. I love old cemetaries and reading the headstones. You don't find any modern ones much anymore. My dad is buried in a very old cemetary that a number of us help pay upkeep for.  It isn't extremely large but an acre or two and goes back into the 1800s.

Good job as always!

Cats - The hoops are a bike rack.  Thought it looked pretty cool.

I haven't done any cemetary shots, but one of these days, I will.

Really great photos--and on time--I am really proud of you young man!!!!

By the way since I was taught that you can judge a restaurant by how clean their restroom is I am always taking pictures of restrooms---but not at work---oh wait--I'm retired!!!

GM - Yeah, I've heard about that old guy in the bathroom with a camera.....

Yep I heard about him, too--60 years ago he used a Kodak Brownie then in the 70s a Polaroid and now, I hear, a phone---seems he lives in SF!

Another set of great photos.  Even when you aren't looking for the SF slant, your pictures still feel like SF.  Thanks.

BFD - Very nice comment.  Didn't realize they had a SF feel, but if so, that's a plus.

Does that take a number have cobwebs?  Looks like my local Revenue Dept, where I am always surprised that there is never a line.  According to the police log in our paper, I think there must be only about 10 of us in my county with a legitimate driver's license anyway.  Great photos!

Arkansas - Can't tell if any cobwebs or not.  Why don't you reach in and check for me?

{#apploud.gif}Outstanding! You just keep getting better, skinny {#basic-laugh.gif}. What a mind and eye:)

Okie -  One eye, half a mind......I'm indeed a force to be reckoned with....lol....

I SO IDENTIFY with the "Jumping through hoops" photo this weekend...thanks!

d - Yeah, that is appropriate for you this weekend, I guess.

As usual!  Absolutely awesome shots!  Love them all.

I had no idea what a natatorium is, either.  New word to me.

Out of curiosity, what is the strange looking red thing hanging on the brick wall of that building?

Mama - The red thing is the fire department connection where they can pump water in for the fire sprinkler piping.

There are some days I'd like the same "complaint" setup in my kitchen with the number attached to a hand grenade...

And the faucet in the men's room is so shiny, almost too shiny...I wonder if it's ever used...oh, gag! ; )

Wonderful pictures and the variety is so much fun.  Hope you're keeping scrapbook of all your finds!

Irish - Remember, if they complain about the food, you can serve up the Ex Lax milkshakes and take your revenge.

The faucet is used, actually.  I believe the agreement is for the men to use it on Mondays and Fridays.....{#basic-smile.gif}

{#apploud.gif} {#apploud.gif} {#apploud.gif} , very cool bike racks.

Margar3t - Thanks.  I really liked how they put them in, it fit in nicely with the building.

I have seriously missed these, Skinny. And certainly you. Come give me a hug! Beautiful pictures as always!

<3

Sav - Put your arms out straight in front of you, with the palms facing each other.  With your right arm, reach over and grab your left shoulder.  With your left arm, reach over and grab your right shoulder.  Now squeeze tightly.    Hug delivered.

hahahha bright! :)

Nice!

Hershey - thank you.
