Glad I don't have a large yard, my small yard exhausted me today
After I got up this morning I decided to go out and do some yard work.
January is when you are supposed to prune back rose bushes and I hadn't done that yet.
Since the green bin was half full from the left over bush I had cut down, and tomorrow is trash day, I thought I had better do the roses.
So I cut them back, pull some weeks that were around them, and got out the hula-hoe for some of them.
Then I sprayed the area with weed killer, and with all the rain we had, the grass was on the tall side, so I cut that down with my push mower.
By the time I got to the push mower, my lower back was screaming, 'ARE YOU CRAZY'.
I couldn't even get out the weed trimmer to do the area the mower can't get close to, I'll do that another day.
By now I couldn't even stand straight and barely made it back inside.
I sat on the bed to take off my shoes, and yep, I went down on the bed and thought I'll just lie here for awhile.....LOL
I know you're thinking, but aren't you doing back exercises the doctor gave you?
Well I started out ok but slacked off.
The last week I've had issues every day with my asthma and getting the start of a migraine each day. Either waking up with the start of one or getting one during the day.
The pills I take when I get one work and it's gone quickly, but they do make you tired.
Between not sleeping well, the pills making me tired, plus breathing issues, getting on the floor to do back exercises just didn't seem like something I wanted to do.

Do you have a coffee table? Maybe instead of getting on the floor to do back exercises could you use another surface? |
D, if you are not averse to taking opiods --this, whether or not you think you might get addicted-- then for you I'd endorse taking-as-prescribed perhaps small doses oxycodone brand named Percocet. With taking-as-prescribed I include taking fewer doses than prescribed.
Or perhaps meloxicam or Celebrex; both non-narcotic drugs.
