According to Rover.Com (I kid you not, it's a real site) they surveyed over a thousand dog owners and found some interesting facts, including many who were buying their pet baby a gift for Valentine's day.

They also found that 53% of people would consider ending a relationship if their partners didn't get along with their dog.

1 in 3 people who bring their dogs on dates with them because they care that their dog and their potential partner get along (41%), that their dog is a good judge of character (30%), or that having their dog with them makes them move at ease on a date (29%)

24% - Of those surveyed who take more pictures with their dogs then with family and friends.

25% - Spend more time with their dog then their partner.

25% - The percent of millennials who have continued a relationship or friendship just because they liked the person's dog.

33% - The percent of people who say they plan their weekends around their dog, finding activities the dog can participate in

47% - The percent of people who cuddle more often with their dog then their partner.

67% - The percent of people who like to gaze lovinly into the eyes of their dog.

69% - The percent of people who say knowing someone is a dog lover makes them more attractive as a potential partner.

81% - The percent of people who usa a baby or puppy voice when talking to their dogs.

So do any of you see yourself in these survey results?

Do you feel better now about buying your dog that $50.00 box of dog treats?

I don't have a dog but I have 2 cats, and they didn't get anything for Valentine's day.

You can make for it at Easter then. {#basic-laugh.gif}

I can get them some gold brick eggs. If they don't like it, I'll eat it, lol.

I dont have a dog anymore either.

I haven't lived with a dog for over 20 years now.

I sometimes miss having one, but they can be expensive, not to mention they become like a family member and we know how attached we can get to them.

Of course I talk to my dogs more than anyone else! They are good listeners. Charlie is a great cuddler and never complains about what I make him to eat.

Dixie is a great hugger and face washer. She also is my outdoor velcro dog ... and she watches over Charlie.

But I didn't get them Valentine's. I did buy them each a nice chewy thing today.

I used to get the dog and rabbit we had Christmas gifts when I was a kid, but that was it. A new chew toy for the dog and carrots for the rabbit.

Dogs are the new children.

I sometimes see the pet treats in the frozen food cases at the store next to people food, and wonder if anyone buys in by mistake for their kids....LOL

I love dogs soo much. I don't have any right now, just my nephew and niece dogs. When I did have dogs, I searched for dog friendly restaurants. And I took them to dog friendly places whenever I could.

We have a lot of places with sidewalk dining, so they are ok with a dog sitting under the table and other diners don't mind since it's outside.

With all the treats our little boy has on hand?!!  I don't believe we bought him any more treats on Valentines day, but when he gets low of a treat, that treat goes on the grocery list.  He neve runs out, and in case you're wondering, Yep, he's a spoiled little boy, lol!

Soon you'll be hinding treats for him to find from the Easter Bunny come Easter morning. {#basic-laugh.gif}

I liked my dogs but I never bought them a Valentine.

OK I'll admit it, Mindy just loves Venison treats, so yes she got her venison treats for Valentines Day, mind you if I am to be truthful, she would have gotten them regardless of the day...lol

My dog is beyond important to me. My new guy must get along with him when hence they meet.
