Being a Surviver of Toxic religion Sunday's sermon in music-sometimes the best politics is just being who you are

The two videos above are by Justin Utley, who was forced out of his religion at the age of 24. You see, he was gay, and the Mormon church is very anti-gay. In these two songs, he shares some feelings having gotten out of that church and being accepted for who he is by his family. He is a survivor, and as you see he is moving on.

Before he escaped however, he was told that he had a psychological problem and was sent to a conversion therapy center where his feelings of worthlessness and being ‘less than” were worsened.

However, he is here to tell us today, that he is moving on, and accepting who he is, and living his life as he feels is wrong. Not only that, but his family has also grown to accept the truth about who he is, and the whole family has left the Mormon church.

He is a profile in courage. A real inspirration to other members of the LGBTQ community. Besides which, he is a great taken and a beautiful young man to book.

The 2nd video is a celebration, and the first is a celebration as well.  In the first, he "moves on" and celebrats that Utah joined the rest of the nation, and the 2nd is his personal celebration of surviving.

He is a survivor and good for him!!!
