TEST POST [Notifications]
I just need to know if you guys are getting notifications. Specially those who subscribed to me. Seems like some aren't getting any when they're subscribed to some of their friends.
For the newbies, please comment below if you received a notification for this post, or any related concern.

Yup. You will only get subscriptions to those you subscribe to...even if they're not your friends. :) |

No, I mean, I'm only getting SOME of the nitifications, even when I am subscribed. For example northernwitchand Both of whom I subscribed to the day I arrived, but I've never had a notification for their new blogs. Not once. |

Whereas some notifications come through TWICE. |

I received a notification for this one. But my notifications are very sporadic. I am subscribed to all my friends blogs and sometimes I receive notification but often I don't. |

A thought. As well as Subscribing, did you remember to also "Befriend" them? Makes a difference |

I'll handle this one Rica. Go to a lumbar yard and tell them you need some lumbar. Avoid lumbar with knots. I think you got lumber with knots in it. |

I got this one but I agree , Im not getting all of them. Ive even checked to see if I did subscribe or not. But Ill go to some pages and see stuff that was posted that I never got the notify for . |

Rica I have quite a few as friends and subscribed. Not sure which is missing but when I do go to a friends page and they are not subscribed yet I do it. But with 80 friends here, I feel like Im missing alot of postings yet. Tell me do wall postings show on notifications? I do know Ive seen some on the front page, gone to it and never saw it in my notifications but I cant remember who it was atm. Guess Ill have to make a list as I go. |

Yep, even after clicking on that. I went into settings-my subscriptions down at the bottom and found it. The name is northernwitch. |

I am positive. One of my friends, who I've know for over 6 years now, posts daily. No notification yesterday at all. I go to the notifications page and click them one by one, then delete when I'm done. |

Everyone is on my subscription list. A lot of us seem to be having this issue. When I go to individual pages there are posts. Frustrating, but I know it'll get sorted eventually. :) |

And while I have your ear . . . Is there any way to have the option of being notified when anyone posts any comment on any blog from a friend? This way a conversation or discussion can continue for more than a day or two. One of the things I love about Multiply and the newsgroups was that conversations could get pretty interesting or digress to interesting points after a few days of back and forth comments. I don't see that happening here. |

This place is two years younger than multiply [2005]...but it hasn't changed much. So, everything is still old fashioned. meaning - you do have to visit the blog that the discussion was created. It is a bit different with groups. You can however, choose to get notifications for any post or comment made to the groups you subscribe to. |

I belong to the group "Multiply Refugees" and I subscribe to it, but am not getting notifications from them when a blog is posted or a comment either. |

In an unrelated concern, I still cannot get my cursor to move down to type in the body of my PM mail...my whole message has to be be typed in the subject line. Makes for very short PMs! It USED to work. |

Yes please. According to bobski it could be a password issue. Since the mail is on a separate db, there are times when the password gets out of sync. Kindly change your password and post an answer here to tell me if it worked or not. http://www.blogster.com/my/options#password

Rica, Changed my password, and I sent you a PM....it still won't allow me to type a message in the body of the PM...It acts like a wall message. I have to type everything on the subject line. The cursor will not work or appear in the body of the message. |

I have managed to recover the photos that I accidently removed. Each is now back in its place in the appropriate post. The Post Album has been recovered except that I have a couple of blanks that I can't remove. You may be able to. Thank you. |

Yes. Receiving you loud and clear, Rica. In the past, however, I've had problems receiving notifications from Mac laptop users. Not sure why. Our new semester starts next week, and I am continuing to use Blogster for my students to use as a platform for their writing.

Whooohooo! They'll be back! lol... I'm using a mac and I use both firefox and chrome (safari is ok). I need to know the specific issues. For one, it might be one of the bugs I've mentioned. :) I might recompile these lists for your students. |

Most of my friends have stated that they have to go to each person's page. Yes, we're all subscribed. And my friend who was blocked yesterday still can't log on and will just not come back if it's not fixed. I gave MamaKat that info. I know you're trying, which I appreciate. I really don't want to lose my long-time friends, but fear if the glitches aren't fixed they may just stop coming here altogether. :( |

Thanks, Chanter. I receive about 4 notifications from a dozen or more to which I've subscribed. I posted a new blog this morning, and it was gone in about a half hour. Just waiting to see if the kinks get worked out . . . |

i received this one but i have a question...is there a easy way to do a search for a group and not just a post or tag...just say you wanted to look for a photography, fishing , hunting,bible, cooking, camping, cars and so on right now i see just a lot of post from those tags..is there a place or page that has the groups categorize so it would be easier to find a group to be part of...thanks for any info...I'm loss when it comes to looking for a group...roger |

Search groups? hmmm. no. none for now. You can go to groups by clicking the link above to see. hmmmm. I guess i better start deleting inactive and spammy groups too... |

I want to complain about your notifications. Every time you post, I get a notification that says: "Hey ya MORON, don't just sit there staring stupidly at the computer! RICA, our LORD and GODDESS, Almighty Tech Guru to the Stars, has just posted something for you to read. Not that you are worthy enough to read it, but it has been deemed sufficient for you to understand it. So get out of that blog you were reading and go to RICA's. Go NOW, not in 5 minutes, but NOW. Remember to praise and worship her Ladyship while you are there, or she shall be forced to bring the Blogster Wrath down upon you....." |
