A Day of Black and White
I happened to glance up from work when I saw the most fantastic cloud formation. I took my cam and started shooting.

It was almost as if it was a scene from a movie where you could see the ominous clouds rolling towards the ocean.

For me, I wanted to emphasize the drama of the moment so I switched to black and white. The pictures I captured didn't disappoint. One could see how big these clouds were versus the images on the horizon. It looked like the heavens opened up.

I loved the way the white clouds appeared behind the darker rain clouds. My friends had a field day spotting 'faces' in the formations.

I took a pic of my friends who joined me in the balcony.

After an hour the clouds broke into light rain. Here you can see where the rain started to fall on the water.
These are the days when I love what I do and where I am.

Wow! I love it! I agree with you in the fact that i do not believe color would have done it the justice that it deserves! "Eagle" |
I posted some several years back that I took while I was on a flight. I'll find the post tomorrow and give you the link. On my way to bed as it is midnight here. |
I will check for them using the archives and I'll certainly do my best to repost them here, especially for you Rica. |
Now that is what I call a "benefit" to the job. What a wonderful view you have. I really love the second shot. Just incredible. ...and, seeing the rain begin over the water, very cool.

I love those B&W pictures sometimes. They can sometimes bring out more detail and depth than color, depending on the picture subject of the picture. I love picture number two! |
Guess you are used to seeing that kind of cloud, I'd been hiding under my desk. LOL Beautiful photos. |

Looks like they are full of rain. How many inches do you usually get a month?
