Cinnamon-Vanilla French Toast Nuggets

"hungry girl recipe: yup, it's french toast made with hot dogs buns. Don't judge. this recipe take a few moments to make and can be very budget friendly. This recipe also is two servings but can be also be one serving as well, and if your counting calories make sure to include that in your calculations as well."

Ingredients:
  • 2 hot dog buns
  • 1/3 cup fat free egg substitute
  • 1 tsp coffee mate sugar free french vanilla powdered creamer
  • 2 dashes cinnamon
  • optional: sugar free pancake syrup
  • tips: when you dip bread into the egg mixture a little goes a long way so just a couple seconds will be just enough

Directions:

1- split buns in half and cut halves into fourths, leaving you with 16 chunks of bread.
2- in a small bowl, dissolve powdered creamer in 1 tbsp warm water. add egg substitute and 1 dash cinnamon, stirring until mixed well.
3-bring a large pan sprayed with nonstick spray to medium-high heat. dip bread pieces in egg mixture, covering them completed. place them in the pan and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, flipping occasionally to cook all sides
4-remove from hear and plate your nuggets. sprinkle another dash cinnamon. if you like, top with sugar-free pancake syrup.
