Sadness is not the only emotion that be related to depression, all other negative emotions that hinders an individual in performing their daily activities can be a sign of depression.  The empty feeling can leave someone exhausted and inert.  They have problems doing activities of daily living because ordinary routine would feel like a mountain of work.  It does make them feel that it is hopeless and that they are worthless.   Getting the necessary help would greatly improve the conditions of depressed people.  So it s important to get to know what depression is, by looking through it symptoms and the possible management of such illness.  Immediate help can be given oncethesigns and symptoms of depression are identified.   Anxiety disorders on the other hand do not need antidepressants as what the result of a study has found out.

There are parameters that are needed before a person can be diagnosed to have clinical depression.   The person may show sadness, anger or irritability.   There might be instances in which they will have problems sleeping, oversleeping or being awake at the early hours of the morning.  Changes in appetite may be a loss or an increase of appetite.   They will feel that they have no hope and no worth due to loss of interest in all things.   Pleasure from activities that the person used to enjoy are not pleasurable anymore once they are under depression. Losing concentration due to disturbing thoughts like suicide that has constantly preoccupied one’s mind.   Feelings of guilt are prevalent and they believe that there is something wrong with them. There may be physical symptoms like headaches among other things.

Symptoms that last for more than a week needs to be evaluated by a therapist in order for them to get help.   Those that have suicidal thoughts are the ones that should consult a therapist immediately.  Antidepressants are mostly prescribed by doctors to alleviate the symptoms.   Paxil is one of the leading SSRI antidepressants that can help with the symptoms of depression but also has some side effects that can plague the user.   Paxil users who had experienced severe side effects are getting a Paxil lawyer to help them in filing a case. Others are finding a Paxil lawyer that can represent their claims that they have been greatly affected by the side effects that they have experienced while taking Paxil.
