Well I took it...conditionally

It is a brick house. It has been treated poorly but it is also being completely redone except for the kitchen cabinets, they are surprisingly in good shape.

I took no pictures because I did not want to post the house until it is redone. It is completely done in paneling- not my favorite thing but....it is a good house so I will not complain....much...LOL!

It is a 3 bedroom 1 bath. The backyard is completely fenced except I am going to add a gate past the backdoor and add a doggie door so the fur kids can go out and in on their own.

The condition is this...it has to be finished being redone and look nice.

SOUNDS GREAT AND LIVING HERE ALL BRICK FOR 51 YRS. LIKE NEW

THE OUTSIDE NEEDS SOME TLC BUT IT IS MOSTLY MINOR.

Excellent.  I hope it won't take too long.

Supposed to be ready November first....

I AM SO HAPPY FOR  YOU TO HAVE A NICE PLACE TO LIVE IS A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN DID YOU SAY BUYSING OR RENTING AGAIN???

RENTING AGAIN.

GOOD IF A  G REAT LANDLORD,

Other people that rent from him like him as a landlord as well as personally.

Just read the previous post. Hope it all works out well for you with this house, Nota.

I think it will. This landlord I know a bit and I have talked to other tenants. They LIKE him.

Always a good sign when the previous renters liked the landlord!

Some of them are current renters as well.

I hope it all works out well for you this time.

So do I.

Congrats and best wishes in your new abode.

Thanks!

Brick is good, so is "redone" (!!) and maybe they'll let you paint some of the paneling if it drives you crazy. WTG, Nota! {#thumbs-up.gif}{#apploud.gif}

Thanks! It is 90% new paneling so I will just have to get used to it or...and this might seem strange...find material I like and soak it in starch and put it on a wall or two. It does not damage the wall but it surely changes the look.

WOW....I hope it all works out this time. :)

So do I! I will miss my sun room though.

Nota I really hope this place works out for you. Moving is no fun. knowing you, It will look nice when you get through fixing it like you want it! {#high_five.gif}

I have tons of ideas floating in my head. I am getting ready to start packing. Thank goodness I saved all my boxes! {#high_five.gif}

lets get it started..do something good with it!

I will!

I think it would be cool to take pictures now, but don't show them until you have the comparison pictures to show what was done.

HUM....perhaps if I go there again....

There's nothing like moving into a new place....and I've always loved brick houses.

I'm sure you'll make it "yours" in no time.

Give me a few weeks after I move and it will be "mine". Why a few weeks? I am not a spring chicken any more...

Hey...these things take time, no matter our age.  (o;

I can remember moving all the kids overseas and being completely done in a week. Now it is just me and...weeks later I sit down and sigh...wishing I was done.

Hope this works out,,love brick homes and miss them and I know you'll put your touch on it when needed....ahhh moving is such a pain wish we could all help ya!and hopefully they'll do what they say,unlike the other landlord that really should be blessed to have you as a working on his home tenant.Good luck :)

Thanks, Rose. I talked to this landlord today and he says he wants to get the house done before the first of November for me. He also wants me to go through the house with him and list anything he might have messed so he can so it before I move in.

If he is as good as he seems I will like having him as a landlord.

You deserve a big break Nota,,he sounds like a regular human too that cares like you and I would about their property,,woo hoo I'm happy for you!

I hope so. I am tired of old worn down houses.

I know you are,we have seen how hard you've worked and the landlords never cared,,their loss! Old tradition is to put salt and bread in the new home for luck,and I feel this home is a good choice,yipee finally!

I think it is as well.

Gook luck with your choice

Thanks. I think I will like this house and the landlord.

I didn't realize until now that you are moving again!  You put so much work into the house you  are in!  Did your landlord's not appreciate you?

Not at all. The front window has leaked for years but it is leaking into the wall where there is 220 and 110 electric. The lamelords haven't fixed it and they have had 3 months since I sent a certified letter to them and 3 weeks since I talked to them in person about repairing the window and the garage. They have done NOTHING, not even a phone call.

I will repair the holes I made in the walls to hang pictures and to hang curtains on the window frames. I will paint those repairs and clean and be DONE with this house.
