Great article Nota! You've got to love Dr. Alan Keyes wisdom: "Once the words [of the Constitution] are no longer upheld by that sense of obligation, they no longer govern. Once they no longer govern, the Constitution will have been overthrown."

This is what is ignored by those who argue to lift up a leader who is "an SOB but our SOB." If a man lives his life violating his oaths and vows, and ignores the law when it applies to him, how can he be trusted to honor the words of the Constitution?

We can survive and if need be overthrow a scoundrel and traitor, but if we choose to honor a lying scoundrel because we delude ourselves that is treachery will be for our good and not his own, how then can we have the moral authority to overthrow him? We can't. We wouldn't have the heart to throw off the chains of servitude when we locked them about our own ankles and wrists.
