One of my biggest pet peeves is when people say men and women are created equally which is totally and completely untrue. We are not equal and weather you use the Bible as the judge of that or nature it is quite obvious we are not Equal.
Oh, don't get your panties in a bunch. I did not say either sex were better and more accurately I would say we were made differently either by nature or by God so we would fit together perfectly and compliment one another which leads me to My commentary on the transgendered woman who competed in the Olympic games as a woman in spite of the fact she has testicles(rumored to have). Now when speaking of how one looks and how one haschosen to live , I would say this person is without a doubt a woman but to enter a competition that has male female categories because men and women have different attributes and cannot compete against one another because men naturally have more aptitude than women is nothing short of cheating were this information not disclosed at the start of the games.
WHY?
Well because that would be the equivalent of a woman using steroids and that is cheating.
One of the reason men get bigger, bulkier and faster is because of their naturally produced testosterone and what do you think those drugs, steroids are? Well testosterone suspension was the first of anabolic steroid created and what do you think the illegal substances, anabolic steroids, try to imitate? Testosterone.
The fact that she has testicles disqualifies her from competing against women because she has an unnatural advantage. YES, her condition happened naturally and it is not the norm for women no matter how you slice it. It was not fair to the other women competing who have to work twice as hard as men to achieve similar athletic, though still lagging. ability.
To even suggest that because the Olympic games have male and female sports that they are sexist blows my mind. What happened to freedom of expression? If men want to have a boys club and girls want to have a girls club, let them. Don't you think you are taking away rights and privileges by doing this? I totally get not discriminating but there is a such thing as taking it too far. If women want a professional football league, let them make one of their own as they did with basket ball, and guess what? People like women's basket ball for different reasons than they do men's, why? It is a different game and played differently! Women are more technical and less brute force!
Why can't we celebrate our differences instead of insisting on this homogenised society that kills individuality and insists on this disgusting androgynous look as something of which to strive for. For Gods Sake, Take pride in having tits!
I am not going to go into all the other ways I think feminism has killed women's natural rights but I will say this: You can have an opinion all you like, you can cry, scream and yell at me that women and men are equal in athletic ability but the facts do not lie and never have.

Oh I watched girls and boys soccer, 1-5th grade and if you watched the boys it was almost what some would call, girly, hehe for lack of a better term but if you ever played warcarft and hear the battle cry "for the horde" that is what girls soccer is like! |

Yea women's sports suck. But I don't like Sports in general so what do I know... Is it being sexist if you think they both suck, but only point out the one? And yes peak athletes of men and of women are not equal. But in general situations, we are not always talking about peak individuals. I have seen some scrawny men and some Burly women... Seriously thought, if I may, what are the "natural women's rights" you blame feminism for killing? I don't think the skinny minnie androgenous figure pushed by advertising is anything what the feminist movement had in mind to be honest. Not that I am part of that movement, but I do believe in the equality they stand for. |

I do think since ambiguous is a choice, at least on the birth certificates in Georgia as a sex, that gender ambiguity should be recognised as a sex. |

Agreed. I'm willing to bet, however, there will be people agreeing and disagreeing with this article who probably won't even really get it. AFAIK, there is no egalitarian sport. Based on clear biological differences, there will always be shit that men kick more ass at, as there will also be shit that women kick more ass at. Having separate competitions is the very definition of fairness in this case. How is it fair to compete in a sport in which your opponents are naturally advantaged/disadvantaged? I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with feminism, it's just that the ideology has moved away from empowering women and more towards castrating everything else. P.S. Did you mention WoW in your post Charlie? XD You are full of surprises... |

I wont agree or disagree with this post, but I will say....it is not completely beyond reason that there are some women who can compete against men in some sports and win. There are some women who are capable of being stronger and faster than men, if they train hard enough and get themselves to their absolute peak. It is not common but it is not completely impossible either. I am not a feminist, I like the idea of being totally different from a man. I love womans strengths and weaknesses and I always say "vive le differance". My issue with the girl on SWG's post is that because she was born with testicles, she is being penalised from achieving her full potential in the sporting field. Being a woman (the testicles are a techinicality) she obviously would not be able to compete in a mans track and field event. So does it mean she just doesnt compete, end of story? Is this not descrimination? Does she have a right to compete and achieve her full potential as an athlete? I was looking at the issue from her point of view.....she must feel quite gutted by this whole controversy and it is a darn shame. |

She should compete against men. An equal playing feild :) So far, you beleif has never happened. You can check all the records, they cannot compte against men, they always come out behind. |

Official records might not show it or they might somewhere....who's gonna look through thousands of official records.....my point is, I dont believe it is totally impossible that a woman can beat a man in running, jumping, or any event where it is deemed that men are stronger. |

You fail to see the point. There are exceptions to the rule. There are always in any absolute, there will be an exception but notice the an. An being a sigular. It is not the norm and will never be the the norm our bodies are physically built differntly and biologically created that way. The fact that it has not happened yet is quite telling as well. |

sorry holly, you dont know that for a fact, that it hasnt happened yet...I dont know for a fact that it has either, but I'm betting it has simply because it is not an impossibility. That is my point. I agree completely with you that it is not the norm....I'm not stupid....I know our bodies are physically built differently biologically.....and I agree that as a rule men are indeed stronger. I wont go looking for it specifically but if I do find an instance where a woman has indeed beat a man in a physical test of strength, I will let post it to you, how's that??

Now, why on earth would I want to take up my blogging space with that? I have already stated more than once here and on many other posts that there are exceptions to the rule but if you find a mother who moved her tree off a child when no man in the village could can you then look at the records available to you and find a man who had not lifted the same? Sure, woman can perform extraordinary feats of strngth and endurence but in the end men will still, as a sex be stronger. The point is this chick has testicles which gives her an unfair advantage over women and she should be competing with men.

The dictionary defines a "feminist" as "someone who believes in and agitates for rights and opportunities for women equal with that of men." (If no differences between the sexes exist, then they are one.) Don't let such corruptions frighten you from helping the oppressed women of the world. If the definition I mentioned at the start fits you, then you remain a feminist, and so do I. Remember that a spectrum exists within the movement, and don't reject the struggle for female rights and dignity because of the fanatics. Living close to the UConn campus here in CT, I am a HGE fan of men's and women's college basketball. Let me tell you, the women are terrific athletes, however, the truth is they cannot hold a candle to the men when it comes to speed and strength. The woman's game is a slower game. Geno Auriemma, the celebrated head coach of women's basketball at UConn was approached a few years back by some zealous fans and was seriously asked why his women don't compete against men's collegiate teams. His response was, "Because at halftime, I'd have a locker room full of crying girls." Sorry. No matter HOW politically uncorrect it sounds in this day and age, there IS a difference between men and women! As far as the woman with testicles in the Olympics is concerned, I agree with you, Holly. She has an unfair advantage over other women. From what I understand, she has both male and female sex organs. So why did she choose to compete as a woman? Why not as a man? Because she knows that she has a definite disadvantage against men, and definite advantage with women! I coached baseball and softball for over ten years. Guys and gals are different, no doubt about it. Guys are stronger and faster as a rule, period. BUT.....I would rather coasch the gals because they work harder, play harder and don't go crying with every scratch and bruise they get. Anyone out there want to argue that point, I have plenty of stories and photos to back up what I say. Chicks rock!
