Wow, I can actually count the number of women I have been with for any meaningful amount of time on two hands.  Now mind there are a probably a couple I missed and there are others I have been with for shows but they really did not count so much because a lot of that is acting but I do not identify as gay or even bisexual. 

I will admit there was a time when I would have like to have been in a primarily lesbian relationship however the main problem I always encountered was the desire for the almighty penis. No matter how good the “relationship” there was always the longing for a real, warm penis. In my opinion this was not fair to the woman I was with, though keep in mind only, maybe, three of those aforementioned “relationships” were the kind that would require any kind of “monogamy”.

Even say with Cindy, the few times we were together alone (without a man) I longed for a man to be there, any many even at our most intimate moments, something was lacking with just the two of us and it was more than just a warm organ. There are specific emotional requirements I need to have met and a woman just cannot cut it, completely.

So, no I do not identify as gay or bisexual in spite of the fact I have been with and am attracted to women.

Enough about me though I wanted to share with sigmaX my friend Adam.  You see I saw where you said you have no gay friends or maybe more correctly do not know any gay men but you see that might open your eyes a bit but what will really do it is meeting a gay child. 

I was born in Missouri and in spite of being an Army brat and moving around a lot I always ended up back at the home of my birth in Missouri where my Grandmother lived.  Sometimes because my father was in Army intelligence and there were places we could not go with him we would stay with her instead of at a base.  This could last several weeks or a year.  So I had two childhood friends there that I had known from birth. Adam and John.  I always preferred boys :P  but you see Adam was gay.  No one told him this and there was never a behavior you could really give a name to other than to say he was gay. I know this may sound strange but I have one hell of a “Gay-dar” and it is not something you can put your finger on, you just know.  Like with women, you can tell by her actions not her appearance that she is female, you can tell with a man,you can tell with a gay man and you can tell with a lesbian.  It is more than just straight or gay.  To me it is almost as if there are distinct sexes that while they may be the same have definite divergences and subtle behavior differences.

I know both nature and nurture play a role in sexual orientation however I lean more strongly toward the biological but two things that are psychological and psychiatric fact is that it is not a choice and cannot be changed. At the bottom of this page You can see the learned peoples opinions.

Now as far as “Being bi can be a fad (And I dare say it is in many high schools).”  I disagree.  I do not think it is fad but something that has always gone on with teenagers throughout history, experimentation, only now it does not have to be done in secrecy with a pall of evil hanging over it.  This is the time when teenagers come into their own their sexuality being only one of the hurdles they must jump, speaking of which did you know, I did not know until today that 17% of teen suicides are because of sexual orientation: realizing they are gay and unable to accept it. 

While I am tolerant of  most everyone I will never be able to tolerate Christians disguising their weapons with words in the name of Jesus particularly when they do not even bother address the article they are commenting on but rather to take the opportunity to preach their hate. God gave man science for a reason and it be my belief that those who throw away science for the archaic will have a startling discovery come judgment day.

No; even though most homosexuals live successful, happy lives, some homosexual or bisexual people may seek to change their sexual orientation through therapy, often coerced by family members or religious groups to try and do so. The reality is that homosexuality is not an illness. It does not require treatment and is not changeable. However, not all gay, lesbian, and bisexual people who seek assistance from a mental health professional want to change their sexual orientation.
