Figging for the Lose
So I have been having a little trouble with the idea of figging ever since I discovered figs, quite by accident.
You see with this housing crisis there are many unoccupied houses in my area and while I love to explore abandoned and vacant houses, now I am not such a risk taker any-more because most are just vacant and it would be criminal to investigate. I satisfy myself with just looking at their yards often thinking of what I might do with said property were it mine.
There is this one little house that I would not want to live in. Foliage has frown around it so much it seems to be a monument of vegetation but what is interesting is the greenery is not weeds but trees and I did not know until this fall, fig trees. It seems they love to grow very close to walls so the exterior of a house is quite perfect, at least for them.
Now I had no idea what these trees were so, you know me, of course I had to come home and jump on my trusty google and was pleasantly surprised to find out that not only were these trees fig trees but they had ripened fruit. I would have never guessed that was a fruit you could eat, and eat I did. Fresh figs are spectacular! I love them so much I plan to purchase my own baby fig trees but this got me thinking about Figging. A practise I wrote about in the past. http://www.blogster.com/mmmhollywould/getting-figgy-it-fetish
I am confused now because of the word fig. The are sweet -n- syrupy and yummy. There is nothing harsh about a fig and now I have tried many varieties. So I am just not getting it.
Feagueing is a practice that was used on show horses in to make them keep their tails up or to make them appear more spry to get more money when selling them. Basically a carving of ginger root was inserted and a painful burning sensation in the anus would help the horse to keep its tail up or make them seem more energetic. The practice is outlawed in the show arena but is now used in BDSM circles on both submissive males and females keep that same part ready or just to cause it pain but is called "figging"(because someone is dumb)
Now is this just an ignorant person hearing that word pronounced and then being a "Stupid American" assuming it is called figging and has some relation to the fruit in spite of the fact, seeing the word printed, it's origins are most likely foreign and I would guess French?
The bitch who told me about it, we will call her "old ass self absorbed cheap hag" now and in future, said it was called figging, "because you use a ginger root carved into a butt plug."
Moron, I tell you! What the devil does a ginger root have to do with a fig?
Any one out there wanna find the etymology and the right pronunciation?
I don't get it. A ginger root is not a fig. Figs are yummy and not at all caustic.
I just have to wonder why it became "figging" when the delicious fig has nothing to do with it.

Okay, looking a little further, it appears feague is derived from the German word "fegen" which means "to sweep". Apparently, the original meaning of feague was "to beat". As do most words that cross lingual barriers, figging is most likely a bastardization of the original word. |

I dunno about 'figging' but if you have more than you can eat, wrap some of them suckers up in old newspapers and send us a box, we love 'em fresh, dried, or candied. Yum! |
well. ex-girlfriend. soon as i heard the word horse all i heard was blah blah blah from that point on. |
Feagueinng does not appear in the dictionary. Bobski seems to have found the most plausible expanation |
