Just Laugh! It's good for you.
There are hundreds of comedians out there, making fun of society and it’s people. Only a handful however, are successful “controversial” comedians. One such comedian goes by the name of Maz Jobrani. He makes jokes about our president, Asians, and Iranian. The racial jokes may be considered a “delicate” subject, ones in which will shock people. I believe in laughing at ourselves once in a while. Why must we be so serious? This “comic absurdity” is needed in times of heightened political tension.
The comedians are able to make light of a situation and I consider them the best news anchormen.Think about it, in the news we watch everyday reporters only describes horrible situations in the Middle East. Like Jobrani jokes in one of his standups, “You never get to see the good people, only the ones yelling Death to America while burning the flag”. This is true there is only a one sided depiction of the lives of Middle Easterners. "Maybe once in a while," Jobrani jokes they should film an, "Iranian making cookies". In other words they have their own society just like us and are involved in “normal” activities we enjoy. He makes light of a situation and gives a new take on the lives of people we heavily judge and mistake their identity for. Not everyone is a terrorist, but the media gives us only images of these individuals in acts, which put them up for internationalscrutiny.
Comedians on the other hand says what we've all been thinking and in a much funnier way. One in which we can all relate to. How can you not laugh? The media throws everyday events to us everyday about the world and it's our job to make sense of it all. What do we believe? It would be nice if everyone chose to understand a topic rather than to judge it. To understand a culture you learn about it. Unfortunately, sometimes our ignorance gets in the way.So the next time you see news learn about it and don't be quick to judge. Then use some common sense to understand it. We've all been thinking about the way these comedians put it into their words. It's a rare art.
I believe these “controversial” comedians are needed for our health and well-being. Laughter is the best medicine and we as a society should do it more often.
Maz Jobrani poking fun about himself and others too.
This is also one of my favorite comedians, Russell Peters I thought I would share with you all. Coming from an asian background I appreciate and understand his jokes. What can I say? Most of what he jokes about are true! The way he can alter his voice to be Chinese, Indian, British, or Jamaican is incredible! He's a great impersonator. Enjoy!

Here's another. Isn't this guy great or what?
