Ever been to Coney Island?   C'mon up to Brooklyn. Grab a hot dog and fries at Nathan's and a jelly apple at one of the stores on Surf Avenue. My grandparents used to live just a mile from there. I haven't been to area now in years but used to pass and stop at Nathan's on my way back to Queens, time permitting. 

ADDITION...passed Coney IF I was working in South Brooklyn or Staten Island...

Never been to New York, period but have always wanted to see that state.  

So c'mon up.  Plenty of reasonable accomodations close to NYC and safe ,especially on Long Island.  Just don't meander around certain sections of Brooklyn or Central Park in Manhattan alone at 3 AM .  

I'm afraid it'll be some time before I'm ready for a road trip. With Covid so rampart everywhere, I'm sticking close to home for the time being.

Oh...just thanking you for response. I haven't been over to Coney Island area in a ple of years. We live in Eastern Quuens but stopped often for fries and a hot dog at Nathan's if in the area as I have worked all over the 5 boroughs and often in Brooklyn.
