My Mother's Teeth and Project Skyward

Added: Monday, February 11th 2019 at 8:15pm by MarissaG

My mother has been losing her teeth. I tried to get them fixed, but someone said that it was too expensive. Well she lost the front bottom tooth and it looks horrible. We could get a bridge, or a partial. An implant is just out of the question from a financial standpoint. The problem is, she will take it out and lose it. I know her.

Below is a link to a video we recorded at Christmas time where you can see how terrible the missing tooth looks. It took me a long time to get used to seeing her this way. The video is very short.

I feel bad for her.

On another subject. Since I have been too poor to go out, my friend picks me up and we go get coffee and drive around. He has an IPhone that he can connect to the speakers in his car. He usally plays DJ. He had me listening and watching videos for all kinds of artists and songs I had never heard of. Then he played Project Skyward. I have been hooked on them ever since.

I make him play nothing but them when we are in the car. Since it is winter, I bring a blanket, make him turn the heat up really high and relax to the music. It's like being in a cacoon. I love it. It is so relaxing. If your up for it, I recomend cranking up the heat in your car when you have a long drive and listenning. Just don't fall asleep. LOL

Here is a sample of there music:

Don't get me wrong. My friend is not cheap. He always tries to get me to go for drinks and offers to pay. I just don't want to take advantage of him.

Love this post. Have you ever listened to Enya, I think you would like their music as almost similar to this.

I haven't, but I will listen to them as soon as I get a chance.

I wonder if your mother is able to get a state program to pay for the tooth to be replaced. I have one in my mouth done in 1982 and it is enamel and they cement it in or something like that. So it is not a tooth implant. But a State Healthcare plan I am sure she could get. Bro. Doc

She doesn't qualify, but thanks for mentioning it.

You might have a dentist that would be happy to take payments for the tooth like I mentioned. At least here that can happen. Your welcome Marissa. Bro. Doc

It was hard to see my own mother losing teeth when she had Alzheimer's.  It didn't seem to impede her ability to eat, so we just left it alone.

I think we are going to have to leave it too.

I love that type of music above.  I find it very relaxing and soothing.

I do too. I can listen to it for hours. I also love your new avatar. Very nice.

Thank you Marissa. I love my warrior gal.  :)  Have a good week end.

That's hard to see your Mother having dental problems like that. Is there a Free Dental Clinic in your area that may help her? We have one now that does great work at no cost & they may come up with a solution. I don't know what that would be based on what you wrote but its worth exploring.

I will look into that, thanks.
