Hawks always look so cool.  I think this is a Cooper's Hawk.

Thanks 24-7. I have never heard their call either. I have heard the other birds go crazy when one is hanging around. Glad you liked the photo. I enjoy watching the birds too. Hawks are especially fascinating to me, maybe because they don't seem to be as common as the other birds.

What an incredible bird!  I seldom see hawks of any kind unless they're flying or perched high up, so this is really something to see.  Great shot.
