Better Day Today!
Test showed that it wasn't Toxemia. WHEW! They still were considering inducing her yesterday, but didn't. She's got three more weeks till her due date. Baby is fine, and would not be likely to have difficulty if she came now, but I guess they decided to wait and see.
My sister hasn't called me today, but she texted numerous times yesterday. The last one had her going to tea with a friend. I'm so glad! Hopefully she'll be able to get a lot of this stuff off her chest with someone else for a change. I need a break.
Since son's GF was sent home, I decided that the best thing for me to do would be to work on finishing house projects. I still hadn't made certain crucial decisions about the landscape, so I got out some paper and drew up some plans. I did three copies, one in color, one as an elevation, and one with writing on it with specific materials and how I wanted them placed.
I showed it to the young man who is managing the project. He seemed happy to have such explicit directions and plans. We then went together to a landscape supply yard and decided on what types and sizes of rocks to use. Then I showed him some flagstone at the hardware store that I'm considering. We're both excited about the project!
It's been raining all day, so instead of working on the yard, I had him take the picket fencing from the other house and power wash it at the car wash. It can dry in my van, and then we can repaint it. Gotta make a good first impression! It was looking pretty shabby.
I also talked with my other guy that is working inside the other house. I'd bought materials to fix up two problem areas that had me stumped. I don't know about other houses, but this house had a lot of little ugly boo-boos that needed to be dealt with... like exposed plumbing, wiring, funky construction... stuff like that. I think we've figured out what to do. Now it's just a matter of following through.
Things are happening! I'm hoping to be done very soon. There will be pictures!
Ya'll have a great day!

I am glad the GF and baby are fine. Good going on the landscaping! I am a twit as far as making the yard "pretty. I am thinking of using plastic flowers...LOL! |
I have a hard time believing that there could possibly be anything you are NOT good at! Plastic flower? Oh Nota.... tsk, tsk. |
I still have crook neck, broccoli and zuchinni in the freezer. They do eat better than most flowers. |
