Harder then it looks

The statement the grass is greener on the other side does not always hold true. Years ago the woman would stay at home and be the homemaker. Today, however, nearly 50% of the working class is women. For those of us who have worked "out on the field", staying at home has always seemed to be a dream. It is still possible. Although, staying at home is a lot harder then it looks. Especially for the pregnant woman.

You may be thinking "Come on they don't have to do any physical labor" and "It can't be that hard." The average stay at home mother to be or mom to be does in fact deal with many challenges. They may not be similar to those of the workplace, but you definitely don't get any breaks! From running around chasing the little ones, cooking, cleaning, and all of the errands that need to be done you're lucky if you even get to sit down.

During newborn stage you barely get any sleep. They have to feed every two hours and they need to be changed just as much. Sometimes you'll go through hours without them going to sleep. Sometimes you have a baby with so much colic that any sleep seems impossible.

When your children become toddlers they become more curious. Those days where you could lay your little one down for multiple naps is long gone and becomes replaced with one small nap. You can no longer leave time to leave your child sleeping safely to clean the kitchen or other areas of the household. In silence there is trouble. The benefit of your kids reaching this stage is you can instill in them the knowledge and love of cleaning up after themselves.

That is all just for cleaning! Imagine trying to run errands and do everything else necessary.

Stay at home mom's have it made....

They watch soaps all day long and eat chocolate bon-bons! Toss a little bourbon in the kids bottles and they sleep for hours. As far as laundry goes just wear once and buy new!

Okay, Okay I see that look.... I'll shut up and go away now!

"Eagle"

That's only the deadbeat moms.

I think of how it was when I was a new mom and I was kept busy for sure.  And tired.  I went back to work 6 weeks to the day my son was born out of financial necessity.  I was still tired but I was a tired mom making money for her family.  Either way, it is hard.  Now my son is 16 and pretty independent but now the worry of his teens.  So far so good for him.  One day at a time.
