Preeclampsia .... CRAP

Added: Friday, January 18th 2019 at 6:37am by Jollyonehere

What Is Preeclampsia?

Formerly called toxemia, preeclampsia is a condition that pregnant women develop. It's marked by high blood pressure in women who haven't had high blood pressure before. Preeclamptic women will have a high level of protein in their urine and often also have swelling in the feet, legs, and hands. This condition usually appears late in pregnancy , though it can happen earlier.

If undiagnosed, preeclampsia can lead to eclampsia, a serious condition that can put you and your baby at risk, and in rare cases, cause death. Women with preeclampsia who have seizures are considered to have eclampsia.

She was doing so well. Now this morning Mom's BP went way too high.

Prayers please.....

Thank you....

Yikes ... yeah, I know only too well how deadly it is. :-(

She is doing better. But it is still a very scary thing.

Thinking of you. My bp zoomed out of this world for hours after my first child but then it got so low that they were confused.

Drop in and let us know how it is going.

She is doing better this afternoon. Instead of today , they are letting her go home tomorrow. Fingers crossed too.....

Glad to see she's doing better.  Sending prayers and positive vibes.

Mom was discharged on Friday. Willa spent the weekend in NICU.

My best top you and your family. Beautiful baby! Nice to see she is doing better now.

Babies are not that easy to bring into the world. At least mine weren't that easy. I can relate. Hopes for a safe and healthy week there.

Glad she is better and I hope momma and baby made it home yesterday. Cute baby ❤
