Overnight Peaches and Creme Oatmeal
Added: Friday, June 8th 2012 at 1:53pm by JENNIE74

"I have been reading a lot about this overnight oatmeal.. It's amazing! Really tasty, easy and (most importantly) keeps me full all morning! If you are like me, trying to lose weight, have energy and be healthy you gotta try it! This is my variation on the original recipe I found on the internet. It's extremely adaptable, and works with just about anything you can think of.."
Servings: 1
Ingredients:
- 1/3 Cup Soymilk
- 1/4 Cup Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
- 1/4 Cup Fat Free Greek Yogurt (I use Vanilla Flavor)
- 1 TBSP Chia Seeds (find them at local health foods stores)
- 1 TSP Honey
- 1/3 of a can of Peaches (in juice) Chopped into smaller chunks
- 1 TSP Vanilla Extract
- 1 Mason jar or Tupperware container (1/2 pint)
Directions:
Place all ingredients in the Mason jar. Put on lid and shake to combine all ingredients. Place in refrigerator overnight. In the morning, just open jar and insert spoon and enjoy! This can be eaten cold, and you can substitute any of the ingredients for your favorites. Use skim milk instead of soy, Agave syrup or other sweetener instead of honey. Any type of fruit that is good soggy! I also like to subsitute the last 3 ingredients for 1/2 banana chopped into small bite sized pieces, 1 TBSP cocoa powder and 1 TBS Agave Syrup. Chocolate Banana in the morning! YUM!

SO glad you like it! It's my new favorite! We have tried several other flavor combinations but keep coming back to the peaches and cream... :) |
