Musings
About Me
Like a moth to a flame, I am unequivocally drawn to the literary arts. It has become a passion of mine since as long as my brain permits. I can remember writing short stories at around the age of eight, branching to longer musings and what I would consider 'blogable' material. It was only recently I was introduced to blogster and what it means to blog; something I've apparently been doing for years just without actually knowing it.
Art and literature are among my outstanding passions--I cannot begin to describe the feeling either illicit from me. I remember going to an art museum when I was a lot younger and I could not help but become enthralled by the intricacy and beauty that was on display. Sadly, I've not been to a museum since--but it's definitely on my list of things to do.
Eccentricity governs my life. I don't like to adhere to what is considered normal--I don't like adhering to a sole custom. I am entirely introverted, the very thought of social interaction on a massive scale makes me cringe. Haha. I have another outstanding passion for psychology (I think that might be fueled by my introversion): there is something about the subtlety of the mind, the uniqueness of it, that intrigues me. I like to understand people, experience what they do, why they do it. Different cultures, religions, attitudes--you can expect me to be very interested in things like that.
Before I close this out, a couple quotes I have grown particularly fond of:
"How much is real, that is the question." - Corey Taylor, Stone Sour
"Perhaps when we find ourselves wanting everything, it is because we are dangerously close to wanting nothing." - Sylvia Plath
"It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." - Albus Dumbledore
"Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." - Albus Dumbledore
"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." - Albus Dumbledore
