King Tides

King tides are sort of a look into the near future as sea levels rise. Combine closeness to the moon, rainy weather, wind and near-hurricane conditions and we get floods.  Each year the tides get more severe along with the flooding and traffic becomes completely hazardous as our streets aren't ready for the water that quickly becomes curb high--where there are curbs!

I love Mother Nature--especially when I am inside and dry!--even when she gets a little nasty like today (and the next couple of days!) yet combines everything to make the area surrounding us look so different.

And, yes, the snowy egrets are back for their snacks!

I'm lookign forward to a waterfront apartment!!  LOL

Good portents is what you're perceiving. Love Nature myself, sometimes I love even the homo sapiens part of it, I do. Sometimes.

The older I get the more I tolerate (some)  homo sapiens--never had a problem with Mother Nature even when in hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc., and I have been in all of them!

never had a problem with Mother Nature even when

Ditto!

Looks like a day for water-fun. What's good bait for water moccasins?

We don't play with such minor snakes--we go for the Boa Constrictors!!

Time to get out your canoe Martin.

I would be stranded---2 hours later it is dry!! Now at 1 PM they are back!
