Not sure if this is going to work, but here goes anyway.

I took the photo below last night from the back bedroom of my home.  The sun was setting and striking the trees at the back of the house.  The light was fantastic, so I took this shot through the bedroom windown glass - because the window would not open wide enough to take it without the glass in the way.

I hope you like it.

Really great--there is hope for you young man!!!

Thank you old man!!

Anytime kid--now skinny will have to really be out there tomorrow!

He has got the edge on me with reflections though.  I have decided to try and make a file of impressionistic sort of photos, like the one above, just to see how it goes.

That is a gorgeous picture!

Thanks Nota.  Glad you like it.

It's always great to observe something natural, from a different angle. Well done f821 and thank you for sharing your photo with us.

Happy that you liked it AT.  I am trying to put together a file of photos like this, where the subject is so 'close up' that it is almost impressionistic.  Fingers crossed.

Ever tried 'firing from the hip' Next time you're out and about with your camera, try taking casual photos without lifting the camera to sight the subject or scene.  Occasionally some very surprising shots will come your way. Thank goodness we have digital cameras. Otherwise, imagine the cost.

I know what you mean.  I don't normally show the 'shot from the hip' ones, sometimes the subject matter is not printable!!

Yeah, I like it.

Man of few words, but important ones. Thansk BFD.

Beautiful. Like your soul.

Oh shucks! What are you one tonight?

But, thanks anyway. xx

LSD and weed. LOL ahahahah JK

Me?  Just booze and tobacco.  BOF!!

Where's your dog?

I had to drown her.  Sorry.

It's a nice picture, but without the dog, I don't know...

What kind of a photographer are you?  A true photographer would have shouted "Carpe Diem", thrown a brick through the window, and taken a magnificent photograph.

Seriously though - the light looks great but I think the window mutes it a little bit.  How come you didn't go outside to take the pic?

I didn't go outside as the next door neighbours fence is a bit high and I could not get the view over the fence, and the alternative would have been a shot of me falling from the first floor bedroom.  I agree with the comment about the glass, shame really.

I like it.  I agree, it looks rather impressionistic.  Nice!

Thanks mamakat.

Bust the glass next time Fang. It's blurry. Why not just walk outside and take the pic? Were you naked and shooting a porn film? (I'm just messing with ya)

Hell!  You were the one peeping thorugh the trees!!

Very good job, thanks for sharing:)

Thanks okie.

It turned out beautifully fangio!  The reflections through the glass are nice. :)

So glad you like them Kat-Al.

in fact I'm glad that you did not break the glass. The mystical look has given the light a gentle touch.

Thank you pepsigo.  Glad to know you liked it.

I love those moments when reality looks like something you'd see out of a painting. I love it even more when it can be captured on photos.

I agree with you #ica.  I am becoming a bit addicted to taking photos of things which can be made to look 'impressionistic'.

I often wish those moments were more frequent on this end too.

:)
