It’s a sad and curious fate that this 10th anniversary of September 11th will fall on the weekend after we did so much celebration. Yet, this day is a bit more relevant to our lives/lifetimes and I don’t know…I just want to do something to honor the memory and commemorate the heroes of this most tragic of events. I am wondering what other average Americans might be doing to mark this “holiday” (is it a holiday or what do you call it)? I plan to fly our flag, which we most often do anyway. I might peek in on some television show, but I doubt it because I don’t look at tele very often. I’ll wear red, white and blue and maybe I will try to write something, but that all seems somehow sort of lame in light of the sacrifice thousands made that day, ten years ago. I will spend time with my family, feeling Grateful and blessed, but like flying the flag, that’s something I often do and so, I wonder, my friends…what are you going to do to remember 9/11?

It was a very sad day for America and I plan to put my flag up and probably watch some about it on T.V. My husbands Birthday is on the same day, 9/11, so we will be having a Birthday party for him. God Bless the family's who lost loved ones on that day!

Our flag is always flying and I'll probably watch some coverage but don't think I can sit through too much.  I fluctuate between being very angry and sad.

We must not give up but look up to the great future that we can build together in a free world.

Probably nothing.  Hadn't really thought about it. I don't really watch TV, and sure couldn't handle much of this kind of coverage.

However, you just gave me an idea for a post...lol!

I am going to work and work hard. I pray as I work. This weekend I am going to be praying that GODS' will be done.

I found one channel that will start, at 8:46 about 1.5 hours of the live coverage of events that took place on 9/11. I'll probably watch it since I was at work while it was unfolding and didn't see the live coverage as it unfolded.

I remember once, one channel covered the live coverage of the Kennedy assassination. It was very interesting to watch...from the first reports of the gunshots, to the announcement of his death, to the swearing in of Johnson, to the long flight back to Washington. I was in grammar school when this happened and found it intriguing to watch as an adult.

Sadly the media will over do the event as they over do everything until you can't watch anymore or you become numb!

I will be watching, reflecting and saying a few prayers for those lost and our future. The flag is up.

It is a weekend of remembrance. We are visiting my Uncle Harry (90) today, who is a member of the Greatest Generation, he fought in WWII.

We're going to a candle light vigil and flying our flag at half mast.

LOL these all apply to me. I prayed, held the flag high, and did something creative. haha. What did YOU do, DP? :) Hope you've been okay. Haven't seen you around in a while, now.
