My wish is that we could make up our own tags and categories. I don't have a list of ones I would want but I know they aren't there when I type them in, then I try something else. Perhaps I should make a list. |

I have been on Blogster since it began; although I have been out of the picture for awhile due to some life citations, and I am trying to come back to it noticing all the changes. I thought you could make your own tags. |

I make a list as I go along and submit them about once a week--right now I have 'rights', 'law', 'water', 'pool', veterans'--but I must add that I never look at tags when I go to read a blog--and then there are those who tag a post to death that the 'stars' get messed up. Now I think we can use more emtioncons |

Rica asked me what tags I wanted added and my mind went blank. It would be wonderful, like margar3t suggested, to add our own at the time needed.... and I agree with martin...more emoticons! |

I also have a problem with the subject things at the bottom...its very restricting as to specific subject of the post. I like all the positive changes...like highlighting the comments etc...but I completely agree with you on the tags and subjects. |

I agree the subject thing are stupid, even in a search if you picked photography and then picked a type of photography your post does not come up in a search of photography without the other sub categories. I get the idea, but it does not work if someone wanted to search, that is probably why most don't search. It would also be cool to be able to do a search and specify the person that posted it. I know I have wanted to do that because I know who posted something but don't remember when they posted it. There is no good/easy way to find it. |

They are to help direct traffic to your blog from various search engines. As Blogster seems to do NOTHING to get our stuff listed in these search engines, the tags are a waste of time. |

I have entered some of my article titles word for word into google, yahoo, and bling...all come up zip, zilch, nada. In contrast, when I wrote for www.joeuser.com my articles could be found on google, usually within the first 5 listings, by tags, title, and/or content. |

Whip, I don't think many search engines see blogster. I know google does not. I have some of the same posts here as on my wordpress blog. The wordpress ones show up in a google search, the blogster ones don't |

I think Blogster should allow us to make our own tags and their spell checker sucks to. it don't even know how to spell blogster. |

In a few recent blogs, mrBombastic and Rica, in particular, there have been some suggestions for more tags to add to the blogster database. I thought this might be a good question to pose and get some suggestions out there for all to see…I might suggest “parody” and “sarcasm”; what would you suggest?
