Since beginning my “professional” career and mingling with my co-workers I have come across some personalities that I thought would be funny to jot down.

The first being “The Winker ”-   There is always that one older co-worker who gives you that creepy wink, like you two have a secret that nobody else knows, but really you have hardly even spoken to one another.

The Obnoxious Sneezer - The co-worker who has the big build up to a sneezing attack and once the sneezing finally commences there is the round of everything offering their blessings. Maybe I’m the only one who tries to prevent or hide my sneezes…

The Deep Throat Hacker - You know who I am talking about… that cough that you can hear the phlegm in their throat, and they just don’t stop. Disgusting…

The Fakest Laugh You’ve Ever Heard - The co-worker that has that obnoxious laugh that rings throughout the entire office floor. The one you can hear over your I-pod. Also the one who does the same laugh when they are talking to a client over the phone, the one you can’t escape from.

The Creepy Smile-r - The co-worker that giveg you a smile that gives you the heebie-jeebies every time they smile at you.

The Comments Person - The one who talks to themselves at their desk, and says stuff that normal people just wouldn’t say, such as: gee-wiz or golly!

The Screamer - The guy that gets mad and just lets loose and doesn’t think anybody can hear them. Or ever better, when they yell for someone from their office and expect them to come running.

The I-Know-Everything Person - You know the cocky co-worker who has been there less time then you and thinks they know more then you and all you want to do it walk away or yell at them.

The Story-teller - I am not sure what it is about work, but every Monday becomes “show and tell” day about what everyone did over the weekend.  That’s still not the worst… there is that one co-worker who has a story every day they come into work. Come on who has time in the day after work to have all these extravagant adventures?

The Elevator Talker - This one has to be the worst, especially in the morning when you are just trying to get to your desk and clock in and get the day started, but yet you have a perky morning person who just wants to become your new BFF. Don’t you think my one word responses were enough of an indication that I have no intention of becoming friends at the moment?

The Awkward ‘Hello’ Guy - The guy who says ‘Hi’ every single time he sees you. But even better then that the guy who changes it from ‘good morning’ to ‘good afternoon’ as the day wears on and you feel obligated to respond every time they acknowledge you. Somehow a simple smile just won’t suffice.

The Bodily Function Reliever - Somehow people think that at lunch time or early in the morning they are the only ones in the office…not true. Yes everyone can hear you when you burp or even better when you fart. So please do you mind?

The TMI Phone Talker - The co-worker who has personal inappropriate conversations too loud. The stories you hear from people on the phone is unbelievable. There is a time and place, and work is not the place to discuss your college daughter’s bathroom issues.

The Stall Hog - The person who sits and sits in a bathroom stall and doesn’t leave or do anything and it’s that awkward silence while you wait to finish your business

I am sure there are many more that I haven’t listed, but this is a good start with many more to come. Enjoy!
