Added Chat Room Features
Over the past two days we have added a few more features to the chat that were requested and/or just needed to be added.
- Making web addresses clickable in the chat. We also shorten the link to make chat easier to read, so when you paste a long URL like "http://www.blogster.com/bobski/the-cake-is-a-lie-and-so-is-the-new-google-os" you see [Link: blogster.com] and hovering over it with your mouse will display the full URL in a tooltip.
- You can now adjust the font size.
- Messages that are in the chat from before you join now show up as grey and italic, to designate them as old.
- When you get messages in chats that are not the active tab, the tab now blinks to grab your attention.
- The user list in chat rooms are now sorted alphabetically. ^_^ Huzzah
- Added "Return to Chat" links on the friends and ignore pages to make it more obvious how to get back to chat.
- It is also a little faster but there is no way I cannot prove it without technical jibberish so on that probably just have to take my word ;)
- Messages are displayed in the main chat when people join and leave the chat.
- We added a few handy tips underneath the chat window, just nice things you should know about chatting. They change to show a different tip every now and then.

Can you delete conversations before leaving the chat room? Like that conversation you me and holly were having the other day...if we dont particularly want anyone else to see it, can we delete before exiting the chat room? Also...when you want to chat privately with someone, you go to the friends tab and double click and it opens a private chat box. How do you alert your friend that you have opened a dialogue with them if they're not logged in at the time? I opened one with you to ask you something about the chat feature, when I clicked on the friends tab, I went down to your name on my list (yes I have you on my friends list)...and there was a green tick next to it as opposed to red (delete) icons next to the other names. What does that mean....that you are logged on at the time? Lots of questions....wanting answers....testing your patience....like you been testing mine with my upload problem.... Ps.....does flattery work with you?....you gorgeous hunk you??? |
chat is fabulous! super speedy and easy to use, once you explained a few things to me.
