Molasses Creams

"yields about 8 dozen"
Ingredients:
- 1-1/2 cups butter (no substitutes) softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp groung cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp. ground ginge
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- FROSTING INGREDIENTS
- 3 TBS butter or margarine softened
- 1-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 TBS Vanilla extract
- 1 to 2 TBS milk
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and molasses. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until edges are firm and center is slightly soft. Remove to wire racks. Meanwhile, in a small mixing bowl, cream the butter and confectioners' sugar. Beat in the vanilla and enough milk to achieve spreading consistency. Frost warm cookies; cool on wire racks.

I know it can be a little confusing to start over in a place that is so much different. But I think you'll find the community to be very friendly and helpful. All former multiplyers are welcome to join, whether you know her or not.
