God's Grace Is Sufficient For Thee
You know how we as humans mess up? You know how sin dictates who we are and how we live? Regardless if we are Christians or if we are of the world, either way people look at how we live with a magnifying glass. I no longer consider myself a Christian. I consider myself as a Disciple of Jesus Christ. How, you ask? Think of it this way: Jesus called us, we didn't call Him. If you think back on the story of the Twelve, there were tax collectors, fishermen, etc. Who were we before Jesus said, "Get up and follow Me"? We follow Jesus. When we stumble, guess what? He's right there with His hand outstretched waiting for us to reach up and grab it! Our "stumbling" comes from temptations and sin. There is such a thing as backsliding. That's what I call a sumble. That's where God's grace comes in. II Corinthians 12:9 explains it this way in the words ofChrist Himself: "And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness .' Therefore most gladly I with rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." When Paul wrote this, he didin't mean going everywhere saying, "Woe is me! I am depressed!" NO! Instead, he gave a testimony, which we all know was how he persecuted Christians, then God changed his life around by calling him to preach to the Gentiles and the Christians he persecuted!! That's where God's grace comes in! If God can call a man who persecuted Christians and turn it around into something for His glory, blessed is He! He can turn our situation, no matter what it is, and make it into something for His glory! What Satan used for evil God can use for GOOD! That's a testimony right there! Weakness doesn't mean crying like a baby when something touches your heart, weakness is the parts of our lives where we fall short of the glory of God. Ifyou deal with lust, that's a weakness. If you deal with stress, that's a weakness. If you deal with sexual promiscuity, that's a weakness. But what did Jesus say? "My strength is made perfect in weakness." Hallelujah! He bore it on the cross when He died! He bore our weaknesses for His glory! Praise You, Jesus!!!
