Well, I have to call it as I see it.

Obama won this debate.

McCain looked tired. He had trouble getting what he wanted to say- out.

Let me stop for a moment...

I do not care for Obama’s politics. I am NOT voting for Obama.

But McCain had so much ammunition to use against Obama.

And McCain didn’t use any of it.

I’m not sure why..??

Hey, maybe I am just tired and will see this debate in a different light tomorrow.

But McCain needed to be at his best, I didn’t see that.

Obama looked relaxed and confident.

One thing...

Obama said McCain is giving tax breaks to wealthy corporation. McCain isn’t changing the current tax rate.

Obama is the only one changing the tax rate. Giving tax refunds to people who do not pay taxes and raising taxes on people who provide Americans with jobs.

Well, anyway, I would like to see how you feel about this debate?

I`m going to say the same thing that I said on my blog. I think that McCain`s hate for Obama, and his desire to unleash on him, interfered with his performance. I think McCain at least tried to answer the questions, and Obama gave his normal stump speech. Obama sounded confident, because he didn`t answer the questions. He was allowed to break the rules, and rant on unchecked. I could hear the cash register go ca-ching! ca-ching! with every sentence. Obama spent tax payers money for ninety minutes. If the voters are to stupid to comprehend Obama`s own words, or they understand him, and agree with him, then they are not as concerned about the economy as they say they are. Because his whole campaign is about spending. Period!

I also think McCain looked tired.  Obama has probably finally bored him to tears with his BS ideas, lies, and half truths that he repeats over and over.

The "terms" I have come to with myself over this entire election is: A lot of what is going on now is very similar to when Carter the peanut man got into office.  His ideas and Obama's are very similar.  How do I know?  Check this out.

What was said then sounds a LOT like what Obama bin Biden is "preaching" today.  What did the Carter administration get us?  Ronald Reagan.  So, if Obama does win, I'm going to keep right on hoping that if he doesn't destroy the country with his socialistic/communistic ideas, a REAL conservative might just step up and take the reigns of the country in 4 years and get us headed back in the right direction.  Will it actually happen?  No way to know.

I do know that from studying American history there have been many, many campaigns that were a LOT more vicious than this one has been.  Whoever wins it's not the end of the world.

One thing Obama keeps saying that REALLY troubles me.  WE will have to sacrifice.  Sacrifice?  He can stick that up his @SS.  He obviously has no idea how much people have already done just to keep a roof over their heads and, of course, thanks to his "buddies", a lot of people have lost those rooves.  His "buddies" are now millionaires over and over but the liberals must think that is ok.  How much is ol Barak going to force them to give up?  How much of a "sacrifice" will they have to make?  None.  He is talking about plain ol common folks who will have to sacrifice.  Typical liberal, he thinks your money is HIS money to do with as he pleases.  How well does the govt handle YOUR money?  Here is an example: Govt bails out AIG.  What do the executives at AIG do?  They go and spend aprox $440,000 dollars of YOUR tax money on motel, dinning, and spa treatments!!!!!!  Aren't you glad Congress just passed a bill giving BILLIONS more to bail out Wall St.??  How much did THEY sacrifice?  Yeah, ol Obama bin Biden raising taxes is JUST what we need....right..........  Clobber those small businesses by raising taxes on them.  You no longer have a job cause my taxes went up and I can't afford you.  Sorry.  Is THAT the kind of sacrifice the terrorist lover is talking about?  What a crock.

I was at the debate at Belmont tonight.  McCain certainly did not appear tired in the media tent and even though he got off to a slow start, he picked up steam.  I did think he needed to be more forceful with his answers.  Brokaw, for all his humility and humor, did a terrible job of running this Town Hall debate and chose some very poor questions for debate.  He also allowed Obama to drone on and cut into McCain's time.   I heard many tonight saying McCain was going to lose but I have never been one to follow the pack,  McCain has a few tricks left for Obama.  He is just not showing his cards yet.  There are many things going on behind the scene that the public is not in the know about yet.

I just read where the Las Vegas ACORN office was raided by state officials.  I am madder than hell that those AIG fools went on a retreat costing 440,000 dollars after receiving bailout money.  Clement said today that the actual federal deficit is much higher than the public is being told and can be checked out in a little known report on the Treasury website.  Giving AIG money to go party on certainly increases that deficit that we don't know the real truth about.

Yea, the questions were really bad.

Maybe, in person, e had more ZIP..!!

I didn't see it on TV.

Oh, well- he has another chance next week.

Obama did outshine him this time. I don't think McCain looked tired, just flustered. Desperate. His temper was wanting to flare, and he knew he couldn't let that happen. He knew it would be a disaster if he lost it on the air. But compared to last time, Obama did improve. He stayed cool regardless of the jabs McCain tried to take at him.

But I kept getting distracted by members of that Audience. The grinning woman with the blue shirt made me nervous. I kept waiting for her to jump up and scream "BINGO"! OK, Maybe only I was experiencing that one...

eky,,,, you stupid jerk  you are  so racist that anything your OREO BOY says  sounds good to you guess that and your white momma love that NEGRO muslim  terrorist...............

OMG, JRP, LOL!

*sigh* Every morning/afternoon I get up, I get the loveliest comments in my mail waiting for me...

AR,

I agree with you, but I had set low expectations for both of them and they met or exceeded them.  I also question the value of these debates.  I've heard all of these talking points many times.

Semper Fi,

IM

Gee, ya think his age may have something to do with him looking nad being tired?  Cloris Leachman isn't out there dancing like crazy like the rest of the younger contestants.  She is in her 80's and not pushing it.

You are correct..!!

For his age, McCain is sharper than most. (Sharper than me at my age.)

I didn’t explain myself very well. I didn’t mean to"physically" compare McCain to Obama. That wouldn’t be fair. I was comparing McCain to previous speeches he has given.

I guess I didn’t see wht I was hoping to see.

Thanks for the comment..!!

"you stupid jerk"  "you are so racist that anything your OREO BOY says sounds good"   "'NEGRO muslim terrorist"

Joe~Who exactly is racist here???  Don't you get it!  This is precisely what they want.  Stay off the issues, ignore the obvious, sling mud at each other, point fingers of blame, everywhere but in your own backyard, hate, hate, hate and then wonder how the hell things got so screwed up.  Oh and don't forget "that one" is BLACK.  Politicians take BS and spin it into toffee.  McCain does that each and every day he slings his shit and ignores HOW HE is going to fix the country he says he loves but has spent 26 years not being able to fix. HOW HE suddenly is going to fix Afghanistan with his military "experience" and all, although he sure hasn't come up with anything to fix Afghanistan since 9/11.  Or please let us not forget the fact he has actually, honestly supported the guy who has destroyed our country, the one John says he loves,  the last 8 years.

Irrelevant of whether one is Rep. or Dem, this president, as in BUSH, that your guy loved and supported until he wanted his job,  has taken this country and put us into the toilet. Anyone who denies that fact is in refusing to see the truth  Are the Dem's blameless. No, absolutely not.  But history books will show how THIS President and HIS administration has taken our country down. He has lost our credibility in the world.  He has insulted and alienated our allies.  He has put us into a debt your kids, kids will not be able to get off their backs. He has destroyed our Constitution and our rights as "free" citizens of a "democracy", the very thing our soldiers are now stuck dying for.  He has used, abused and depleted our military to the point of sheer exhaustion.  He has shown utter disrespect for those same soldiers by not even honoring them as they come home in coffins.  He has never tried to get us off dependency on oil, which has made a long list of his friends and our VP richer.  He denied we even had any environmental issues until the tables we stacked against him.  He even went so far as to CREATE WARS not just to make his cronies rich but to get our hands on other countries oil supplies.  He was/is so tied to oil he couldn't, wouldn't and didn't t allow alternative energies in our country to be considered.  I could go on and on.

McCain was there the ENTIRE time supporting this mindset.  So who do you call stupid?  Why apparently anyone who attempts to point out the obvious or wants to perhaps change this mess.  Do you really think the same minds that created this horrific mess can fix it?  Really?  Because I have a building I'd like to sell you, with today's great new lower interest rate and all.

This has to go beyond Rep. or Dem or Independent!!!  This is too important to just throw mud at and hope it sticks.  Too important to just say I'm Rep. but your guy is an oreo.  Good god, are you kidding!  Do you really for one second think this current trend will not get worse if someone doesn't put the brakes on NOW.

This is exactly the same angry mindset that makes me SURE McCain should not be president. He too is a hateful, angry racist and if you think for one second that is going to FIX the America he claims to love, well perhaps you should rethink that one.  This is the kind of thinking our soldiers are dying to prevent.  Wake up.
