It would not have if the the Prez and the SOS did not lie about it. made a huge mess covering it up . FOUR Americans died due to their bad decisions...it was a sad day when I watched on TV both Obama and Hillary stood in front of the families and LIED! Sometimes a person's personal bias towards another political party leads them to believe the kool aid. This should never have been political.....how do you know when a politican lies? ... they open their mouth... |

Sometimes writer you have to go outside of the noise to get to the bottom of things! The shame about Benghazi....even the report that is being issued today is that we still are not asking some very important questions about Benghazi and it is shameful1 |

tess until they decide to either declassify the reason for the strong CIA presence in Benghazi or admit that the CIA was the controlling interest there at the time of the attack this will continue to be a hot topic! |

Yea Ellie this thing is getting really clearer as this present report gets released! Gowdy in an interview I just heard acknowledged that some of the information in this report came after he talked to a witness that the CIA did not want him to talk to! He also refused to answer a direct question about a Covert CIA Operation going on in Libya at the time! In short...this was a CIA operation that went very wrong!!! No one wants to admit it....especially the CIA and no one wants to talk about it because it is still partially classified! All of the assets going into and out of Benghazi after the initial attack were CIA assets. The people evacuated were mostly CIA personnel. No one knew Stevens intended to spend the night at the Consulate......no one on the ground from the CIA told him not to!

I missed a couple of them, but got the more important ones right. Seems to me the CIA could have done more than they did. I dont think we will ever have all the answers, but one things for sure, if they had given Clinton the money she asked for to protect these "bases" it may have been a much different outcome. |

Charlie just heard from someone who is reading this recent report that Petraues was watching events live from his home by way of stream. But it was he who failed to recognize or anticipate the second attack. It was the CIA who failed to have an evacate plan. It was the CIA who clearly were the backup security or in military terms the reaction force for the Consulate. It was the CIA compound Supervisor who delayed the rescue mission. It was the CIA who could not find a Militia Unit in Benghazi to support them in making a simple 1 mile move to help at the Consulate. What is making me sick to my stomach is that after 8 investigations no one in public wants to ask the CIA the tough questions. Why? The Consulate was not an active facility! It only had 2 Fulltime Staff!!!!!! 3 other security people joined Stevens on the trip....they were going back with him. The CIA had almost 30 people on site at the CIA Compound a mile away. Benghazi was a CIA operation period....and apparently it was a covert operation. The CIA has thrown the State Department under the bus on this one....and for some reason the Administration has gone alone with that to this point. But now that this report appears to be putting Panetta under the microscope I think that there might be some deserved light shined on the CIA's role in this mess! |

Amod, I would guess that the administration is protecting whatever that operation by the CIA was there in Benghazi. It is not the first time that has been done by any means....it has been happening for years. |

well, this goes to prove that Hillary was innocent the entire time and there wont be an investigation of the CIA, we know that. Even if there was they will lie to cover up exactly what they were doing there. 11 million is a lot of money to waste on the wrong person in my book... |

Ok, Amod..I answered without looking up every quertion....and wasn't aware of the number of people permanently at each location. Personally reading the right answers (btw, i actually got 7 of them right), it appears to me that we have spend a lot of time focused on the wrong people, and the wrong thng. Rather than focusing on the State Department, we need to look at the CIA, knowing that a lot of that information may very well be classified. Any problem within the State Department was due to the long standing problem of having enough staff to adequately handle all the diplomatic type locations...Benghazi not being an embassy but a satelite of Tripodi. |

There you go Vicki....you are now starting to see where the problem with this whole things lays. Gowdy admitted today that this report reveals that Stevens wanted Benghazi to be a permanent faciality....which is why he wanted additional funds....but those funds had not be approved nor had the decision been made to upgrade that site. With limited funds it was the correct decision not to spend money on a site that might not be used. In addition the very people who are saying that Stevens should not have been there because of the dangers...have not made a single complaint about the presence of so many CIA personnel.
