U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, R-SC, the 'Republican-in-name-only' (RINO) strikes again with his support for an energy bill that is tantamount to a GOP-version of the ominous 'cap and trade' tax scheme put forth by Obama and the Democrats.

Cap and Trade, as it has become known, is a plan pushed by the Obama and Al Gore wackos who seek to impose strict limits and taxes upon individuals and businesses based upon their 'carbon footprint.'

Let's get something straight and out of the way right now, at the outset.  ALL human life is carbon-based.  That is simply science 101.  The only way not to leave a carbon footprint on the planet is for all human life to go extinct.  And the hard science in no way whatsoever supports the unproven theory that man-made carbon gasses have contributed significantly to 'global warming'--another theory that hard science has totally debunked.

Yet the Progressives in the Obama Administration, the Democratic Congress, Al Gore's extremist wackos, and 'moderate Republicans' wish to impose on each American a new energy tax that will drive up the costs of heating and cooling to the tune of $3400 per year more than we are currently paying.

This proposal is being pushed for no other reason than to appease the Leftwing fringe of the radical environmentalist movement, the globalists of the United Nations, and the power-hungry lunatics of the European Union.

So where does Lindsey Graham figure in all of this?

Graham is part of a very small group of 'moderate Republicans' that call themselves 'Republicans for Environmental Protection.'  The group is currently running ads on radio and TV in South Carolina praising Graham for supporting legislation on 'clean energy and climate change.'

This is the precise terminology the charlatans who are pushing the dreaded 'cap and trade' legislation use to describe their plan to essentially cripple the oil industry (where we get MOST of our energy) and implement strict sanctions and penalties on those who fail to 'do their part' in limiting their 'carbon footprint.'

The oil industry, the American Petroleum Institute, and other organizations that are realistic about the nation's energy needs called out Graham on his duplicity.  He claims to be a 'conservative' and has openly expressed disdain for being called a 'RINO.'  Yet he has consistently supported legislative initiatives that give conservatives a bad case of nausea.

Not surprisingly, the Graham people and the Republicans for Environmental Protection have come out swinging, incensed that the petroleum institute would dare tell the plain truth about Graham's obvious support for at least one version of a 'cap and trade' bill.  Note that the report issued at the link above is provided by none other than 'Media Matters,' the ultra-Leftwing, George Soros-funded hit group.

Climate Progress, which is the organization funding much of the smear against the oil industry and providing the defense of Graham's support for cap & tax, is a subsidiary of Center for American Progress.

And guess who started and heads the Center for American Progress?  None other than John Podestra, ultra-Leftwing progressive who was Barack Obama's transition team coordinator.

The Center for American Progress isn't exactly a gathering place of reputable, patriotic American scholars.  When Vann Jones, the self-described Communist, was forced out of the Obama White House once Glenn Beck blew the whistle on him, he went to work for the Center for American Progress.

Look deeper into the Center and you will find a motley crew of Leftists, radicals, extremists, Maoists, Communists, Marxists, and other revolutionaries who believe in anything but American exceptionalism and the principles of our Constitution.

These are the people who are funding the push toward some sort of new 'energy bill' that will drastically increase the costs of and dramatically restrict the use of so-called 'carbon-producing fuels.'  And these are the very people Lindsey Graham has crawled into bed with.

The United States is sitting on some of the richest untapped oil fields in the world for no other reason than progressive politicians who have been bought off by environmentalist extremists won't allow any drilling.  This is nothing short of an outrage.  The country can fulfill its energy needs by using alternative sources only if we include oil, gas, coal, and nuclear in the mix.  We CANNOT fulfill our energy needs with alternative, so-called 'clean and green' fuels alone. 

For Lindsey Graham to make his bed with these Gore-whores will likely give a severe case of VD to the entire population, IF they get their way on these loony energy tax proposals.

South Carolina can do much better.  It's too bad we don't have recall elections in the state.  We clearly don't need another tax-and-spend progressive trying to masquerade as a conservative.  And one thing is crystal clear--Graham is in NO WAY a conservative.
