Wow!  Where have I been?!  My life has been full of new beginnings.  My hubby and I joke about how we try and start over at least once a year. ;-)  We are currently back in DFW and ready for some new adventures!  We ventured out into the middle of nowhere for a few months. I have to say I am glad to be back where people are getting out and doing things to make a difference in the world.  I love being right back in the middle of it!  So my resources were a bit limited in the backwoods but I managed to locate a few great finds while I was there as far as organic food goes.  The recycling program was eh.... I actually spoke with a city representative who claimed she'd understand if I didn't want to recycle because the bins they used were "big and bulky and inconvenient".  I wanted to beat my head on the wall after that conversation.  It literally took every bit of restraint in my being not to scream during that conversation. Ilike to pretend I have class, though.  Needless to say I ended up pulling it off and ended up with two recylcing bins. :-)  ...

Back to present time...  I live less than half a mile from a recycling center and there is an amazing parks and recreation department here.  There are several park clean ups, nature based programs, and other activities that promote environmental concern as well as health and fitness.  What better place for my family to thrive?  I guess I forgot to mention the almost $800 we're not spending in gas just to get my hubby to work.  It feels much better knowing we are reducing our carbon footprint as well by driving less.  Summer school is hectic so I hope I can keep up with everything.  I have several products to review, recipes to post, adventures to take, and stories to write... all ideas just boucing around constantly in my head.  I must get them out to the rest of the world!  I also hope to be volunteering once I get my schedule all lined out!
