Having finished with the attacks of acne, sometimes the face has many acne scars . There are many types of them, but generally these acne scars can be a problem that affects someone's life. Fortunately, there are now ways to get rid of it, although results can vary significantly.

The Different Types of Acne Scars

More or less regular, more or less deep, the scars depend on the size of the crises of acne and the treatment they received before.

  • Plane scars, also known as the "crater". They form small depressions on the surface of the skin, giving it an aspect which sometimes hailed. Thy are shallow and they have a flat surface to make them look like small craters.
  • Scars called "ice pick". Much deeper than previous ones, they are also much narrower, and they recall the marks left by a needle stick for example.
  • "Bloated" scars. Sometimes the acne scars have a look in relief. Inflammation of the tissue will cause a sort of mini fibrosis on the surface of the skin and cause the formation that looks like mini cysts.

Acne Scars Solutions

Cosmetic medicine now has many ways to help make the skin smooth. Used for the correction of wrinkles in the anti-aging treatments, these methods also reduce, or eliminate acne scars significantly (not 100% though). You can read more at how to get rid of old acne scars .

Acne Scars Fillers

Very efficient to fill wrinkles, they are equally effective on flat and shallow scars. Hyaluronic acid for example, can "rebomber" skin where a button could leave its mark.

Fast and virtually painless, injection is performed by a dermatologist (a doctor or aesthetics) in his office, and can immediately resume its activities. The results themselves are immediately visible.

Only drawback: as wrinkles, these products are absorbable therefore a limited lifetime. Further injections will be needed after a few months to maintain the result. Sometimes it can stay up to several years also.

Peeling for Acne Scars

The goal of peeling is to remove the top layers of skin to reveal smoother skin, clearer. We can clarify the complexion by eliminating the small scars left by redness, but also digging deeper marks the surface of the face. As with injections, it is done in the doctor's office.

For the treatment of acne scars, it will instead use a light peel (or surface). This is applied to the treatment area a product, usually based fruit acids (glycolic acid type, for example) that will "destroy" the skin cells on the surface and unify the epidermis ridding it of its defects. Another is deep peeling with trichloroacetic acid. You can read more about it at best chemical peel for acne scars .
