It has rained torrents here in the last few days. I am not complaining. I had just finished fertilizing and liming the lawns so they are not popping up a brilliant green. Everything is a brilliant green right now and is beautiful. More than that, however, after two years of record breaking forest fires and another predicted for this year we will take all the water we can get in the hope of forestalling another forest fire season.

The last two years of fires have been so devastating that not only do we now have the distinction of having the most polluted air in the world but it is now impacting the economy. These massive forest fires came hard on the heals of millions of acres of forests being destroyed by the Mountain Pine Beetle infestation and it is now affecting the annual allowable cut allowed by the forest industry. Some sawmills have had to close entirely and others cut back from three shifts to two. There have been huge layoffs and many people are now out of work.

Yes, we will take the rain.

It has been a very bad, very hard week for me. I have been stressed almost to the breaking point, almost beyond endurance. I thought I was going to break. Just as I was about to jump off a bridge or walk away from my life or commit myself to hospital a few things started to break my way, the stress level went down a bit, and I can at east draw a breath now.

Things are not out of the woods yet but at least now I am walking towards daylight and if everything will just break right I might even see sunshine again. This is a long, private story and if I blog about it then it will be in one of those rare 'friends only' posts

Tess and her mother are in church and I did not talk about our day with her this morning but I am going to try to talk her into a trip out to Barkerville (past Wells where I went with my father last week). It may well be raining there to and if not it will be cold yet but even if we didn't make it into the park itself it would still be a break from the regular Sunday tedium. I am not end to Walmart shopping today. I need new scenery.

I see the lid is about to pop off the Middle East. I am not a prophet but I am about to make some predictions here.

The Israelis alerted the United States to a potential Iranian attack on U.S. assets in and around the Gulf. This was also confirmed by intelligence sources in Iraq. Such an attack might not come from Iran itself but by its proxies but there would be no mistaking who had ordered the attack.

The U.S. ordered B52 bombers to the Middle East and the USS Abraham Lincoln is now in the Gulf with it's entire task force which has more fire power than most countries. I believe the USS Carl Vinson and its task force is also skulking near by. Any threat or attack by Iran is going to break out in all out war.

Meanwhile the Iranians have told their proxies (Yemen, Hamas, PLO, Hizbollah, etc.) to prepare for a proxie war against Israel. The Iranians have also positioned SRBMs in the Iraqi desert poinnted at Israel.

Now, my prediction (this conflict is an area od study of mine). I predict that the Iranians and their proxies will badly maul the U.S. in the Middle East. The U.S.A has learned nothing about asymmetrical warfare since Vietnam and is entirely unprepared for Iran. I predict the loss of nearly all of the Abraham Lincoln task force.

I predict that Iran will unleash a devastating barrage of rockets against Israeli cities that will nearly overwhelm them and will result in Israel having to use their nuclear weapons to avoid destruction.

I predict that Iran will manage to close the Strait of Hormuz and gasoline prices will raise to astronomic levels destroying the world economy.

I just thought I would leave you with that cheery stuff. No one is watching the midle east. Fools cannot see beyond Trump.

I am with you, know that. Take care of yourself.

Fasten your seatbelts...

I disagree...because...

"Now, my prediction (this conflict is an area od study of mine). I predict that the Iranians and their proxies will badly maul the U.S. in the Middle East. Lots of peeps have said this or that w/ regard to Trump's activities, would be bad for us... I don't think any of them have been right so far.

He is far from being a fool.

Can you tell?  He is my hero these days.  {#apploud.gif} {#apploud.gif} {#apploud.gif}

It has nothing to do with Trump. It has to do with the U.S. military not knowing how to deal with assymetrical attacks. All the firepower in the world cannot fend off people who are unafraid to die with rockets attached to little boats that can get through to the fleet. Or big heat seeking missles aimed at carriers.

We'll see...

Sheesh, I hope we don't have to.

You forgot an important player in your predictions, Ken,  Russia, whom Iran itself is a proxy of.  And Putins bootprints on our own continent, compliments of Maduro.

My own prophecy, made many years ago--and certainly well before Trump ever became a player--was that Israel would be the next nation to use a nuclear weapon, so your ideas are in line with my own in that regard.

Scary times, but when aren't they?

btw...we watch at least one news cycle on Al-Jazeera daily, just to see more stories in regards to what's going on in the region.  It's available for free on streaming devices, and also on their YouTube channel.

I will check them from time to time but do not trust them

What I find very interesting but never or seldom talk about is that everything that is happening in the middle east right now lines up 100% with biblical prophecy.

Having said that and having made my prediction yes, indeed, there is Russia, and in the end time biblical scenario Russia also joins in on an attack on Israel. Meanwhile the US is absent in biblical end times.

Why is the US absent? They lose interest in befreiending Israel? They get mauled so badly in a war that they will no longer act?

I do not understand how all that Bible stuff could possibly be true yet here we are lining up exactly and seem to be on a countdown to something.

And I agree. Israel will be next to use nukes to save itself.

You should write about how all that 'Bible stuff' is lining up and provide the scriptures involed, would make for interesting reading.  I used to know where a bunch of stuff describing America to a T used to be in regards to OT prophecy, but me grey matter dun lost it.

Ken I'm glad you guys got that rain.  We got an @$$load of it too this morning for a solid hour and now the sun is out.

I'm glad your sanity is getting better and the stress levels are going down.  I can understand it though as you had/have a full plate just about all the time.

A nice drive away from home is always a mood soother and seeing new scenery is key.  I hope it happens!

hugs

Been raining a lot here the last few days and in all since Wednesday, but heavier the last few days.

Even an adventure in the rain can be fun if done right.

Conflict with Iran is going to be super-expensive any way you cut it. Let them close the straits. Once they do that we can keep it shut down indefinitely. We shouldn't play kissie-poo with the Sharia-loving Wahhabis either.

So sorry to hear you are going through such a tough time right now. I hope whatever you are going through will get better more and more each day.

Geez that's some prediction. Yikes!

Well I WANT RAIN AND LOTS OF IT.

I tend not to disagree with people who do studies on things. "{people like yourself}" I hope you are wrong, but no way would I bet on it.

wow sir wow
