Today is the one-hundred and fifty-fifth birthday of the great German physicist Heinrich Hertz, who was the first man to conclusively prove the existence of electromagnetic waves. The hertz, which is a unit of measurement used to calculate the frequency of a wave, was named in his honor. Go Hertz!
