Elijah loves the swing.

Elijah loves the swing.
A baby with colic can drive you insane, this morning after poor Elijah crying for a full hour, I phone Nick up and ask him if he can bring over and set up Kyle's old baby swing. In a desperate effort to get at least fifteen minutes of quiet time for myself, I lay Elijah in the swing........aaaaaaaaaand......he's been sleeping for a full 90 minutes!! woot woot.......God is good.......All the time!!!!

a definite woot woot!!!  Poor Mum!

His Mom is a teacher at work with 25 eight year olds....lol.....his Daddy (my son) is at work with thousands of college students...Elijah is my Grandson, he's two months old..A day care will not take him with colic so I am watching him until he outgrows it.

Poor soul .. go Gramma!!

Sometimes the movement causes them to burb and the pain eases.

Colic is tough on everyone involved.

Do NOT do #10. It is FAR to easy to burn a baby!

Thanks for the link , there is some good advice over there...lol

You are welcome. I has one baby with colic. I was very ill when she was born and for months afterwards and the colic was really hard on me. I held her and rocked and cried.

Awww... they are fortunate to have you to love and care for him during this time. I hope the swing continues to work for him and he outgrows the colic soon.

Thank you hon......and from your mouth to Gods ears on the swing working....lol

I see they have newer, more comfortable looking swings than the yellow canvas thingies back in the 70's and your grandson looks very peaceful and very..asleep! Yes, thank you God!  So glad you hit on something to help ease his colic and your frazzled nerves.

lol that is so funny , I thought the same thing.......and have you seen the new walkers these days....they are so big I wonder how baby gets the strength to move them around..lol

He looks very comfortable himself, laying there and he is a cutie pie! You get some rest now! :)

Thank you maam, yeah he is adoraaaaaable........well.......er.......when he's not crying......lol

OMG when our 2 GrandDaughters were that age, i was sooooo thankful for that swing, too!  now it is just me and our youngest grand daughter - 17 months now.  i am quite suddenly exhausted from my day of looking after her......   but i do love being a Gramma!   HUGS and commiserations.   ; )

I have three grandchildren, I watch two of them, Kyle is 22 months and then theres Elijah....even poor little kyle tells me..."ganma, ganma, shhhhhhh bebe" about baby Elijah's crying....lol...oh I loooooooove being a grandma too!!  hugs.

wow....3!

Being a gramma is the BEST!!  I have 4 g'kids and one great-grand who is the only one close to a "baby" at age 3.  I love them to bits!!!!

I love being a Grandma too!!  I was looking so forward to it and its everything and more that I ever thought it would be.

Awesome!!!

isnt it though.....lmao

baby swings are the best thing invented.

agrees....lol

{#angelgirl.gif} your little angel

lol........yep and more so when I can get him to sleep!!!

Aww glad you got some peace.  Hope it continues to do the trick {#basic-smile.gif}

Thanks Wendy........Friday was the first day since I've been watching him, that I actually did not feel ready to pass out drained for the day....lol

Now that pic's a treasure....I need about a dozen new grandkids!!

That is such a cute picture. Now how can he cry so long....:)
