...DANGEROUS HEAT EXPECTED THROUGH SATURDAY...

PLAN ON DANGEROUS HEAT TODAY INTO SATURDAY. TODAY LOOKS TO BE THE HOTTEST DAY, WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TO UPPER 90S AND HEAT INDEX VALUES FROM 100 TO 110. HIGH HEAT WILL STILL BE ACROSS NE ........ AND FAR SW ....... SATURDAY.

EXPOSURE TO HEAT FOR MULTIPLE DAYS IS VERY DANGEROUS, ESPECIALLY FOR THE ELDERLY, CHILDREN, AND PETS. BE SURE TO STAY HYDRATED AND LIMIT OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES. CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE OUTDOOR PLANS.

.....And my A/C unit is pooping out on me.

that meme describes my experience for the last several weeks...

Baby pool and lots of ice.

New to me A/C unit coming tonight with Gary.

A necessity!

Staying cool is key.  Plenty of water....hydrate, hydrate, hydrate....new air con!

Hope all stay safe

I just got a call from a guy who wants me to do some sanding for him, two rooms... it's 98 degrees out, the place has no airconditioning and I told him yes... I'ma idiot!

Or desperate for money.....?

not really. I like the kid, he bought a 200+ year old house and is refinishing it, it's going to be a work of art when it's done. He and his wife just had a baby boy last week, he's 25 and so is she. The kid got ambition.

I would LOVE a 200+ year old house. But then I would also need a carpenter partner. lol

Use ice in a wet wash towel and wrap it around your neck and stay hydrated. Put another wet wash towel in the freezer and switch off wash towels as needed. Or you could head to a local pool until your air conditioner arrives. Crack your windows about an inch and shut the blinds and curtains. I know that sounds crazy but it will help keep out the heat and cause air flow. Meanwhile go slow and take it easy.

I am in A/C at work till I get in my car to drive home and it has A/C. Then when I get home, I am hoping the new unit will be in the window already. LOL

Well aren't I the dweeb in the crowd. oops! I had no clue you were at work. I'm on vacation until Monday. =-)

I wish.

I have been in triple digits for about a month or so..(but its a dry heat), pffffft...its still hot as hell. Take it easy you guys, try and keep comfortable and if you dont have a reason to go out in it dont. and drink that dam water...dehydration comes faster than you think.

I can handle 100* in AZ. It is that damn humidity that kills me. Seriously feels like a wet blanket is wrapped around me.

Yesterday, our heat index wasd 112 degrees.  This morning the weather man says we can reach a high of a hundred and 114.  Is that the regular temp., or heat index?  I don't know, he didn't say.  It's supposed to snap in the western part of the state, north and south, the north central part of the state, and north eastern part of the state tonight through tomorrow.  South eastern will go through Saturday, into Saturday night, before it snaps, and a bad storm on it's tail, starting at 5 a.m. Sunday morning, and through Sunday.  You might say I'm looking forward to that storm.

Have yourself a good weekend!!  With lots of fun thrown in!

Good Afternoon Miss Ellie! I sat out on my porch during the storm last night. Misting rain through the screens felt GOOD!!
